Me Carolyna the Rambler in a waiting room and on my way to get procedure done.

Hey everyone, Carolyna the Rambler here.

So I hope you watched my videos for Carolyna the Rambler on facebook so you have a bit of a backstory and also read some of my previous articles here on Vocal to have a better understanding of my perspective and point of views.

Visiting the doctors office is not always fun, if you get to do it once a year lucky you but if you are someone who has had multiple accidents and severe injury, oh boy I say and I suffer for you as well if you are worse of than me because the challenge that comes with doctors and specialists visits are no fun unless you are making headways in healing and a clean slate of health than I want to wish you luck and say congratulations you're almost there to the end and you can do it I and we believe in you.

Now for a lot of people that think it is just to sign up and you have your primary care doctor and it is that easy again if you only see a doctor once a year it may be that easy, but if you have a lot of issues it’s definitely not that easy I/ we have to research the primary care doctor and see what there background is, for example we would need someone with the understanding of sports medicine and injuries because if your doctor have no knowledge of the damage sports injury can have then they can’t really guide you the right direction because the primary care doesn’t have the background and now you're playing a game of chess as they will send you everywhere except where you need to go and they don’t really listen to you and usually when they say “okay you need to follow up with so and so” versus someone with knowledge would have a conversation with you and listen to you and plan a course of action. You can also tell when a doctor is overworked when you talk to them and they don’t listen at all and starts changing your medication without even talking to your team of specialists that you received medication from that is a major red flag if anyone does that without your consent or your team you need to contact them immediately and tell them what have happened they may approve but they also may not like the change but if you are taking medication it’s important to follow your teams instructions not a primary care doctor who doesn’t care. Again this is purely my opinion based on experience if it doesn’t relate to you take it with a grain of salt.

Communication is the key to life no matter what you do and having a good communication base is so very important no matter who you talk to, like at work, order food (write clear instructions for delivery people), doctors office, bus operator, between drivers and passengers and your friends and family.

So I have seen my 5-8 specialists for 5 years and I was starting to feel amazing and felt like I was on the healing path than after another 4 years I am now declining physically but I am not giving up, a physical disability is and can really take a toll on your mental health especially if you don’t communicate it clearly to your employers because they could care less (some of them).

Point is, dealing with a challenge like this is really important to stay on top with your medical needs through self awareness, communication, meditation, down time regardless if you don’t have the time, because if you don’t you will burn out really quick and it’s not really the job you get burned out on it’s your physical disability that takes a toll and mental health gets affected because of it and now you suddenly have two jobs, one with an employer and one dealing with your issues and let me tell you it can get really exhausting and draining really quick so staying on top is a must. That’s one of the reasons I created Carolyna the Rambler. It's a place for the community to receive support and know you are not alone and know if there is a will there's a way and if there is no way we have to find our way, but don’t give up. I am here to reach out and share my life experiences and hope to build a big strong positive community.

If you don't relate, again take it with a grain of salt and share it with someone you know struggles who could use motivation and positivity and tips and in need of a friendly respectful community. /Carolyna the Rambler Peace out.
