When the "super earth" is discovered, human beings will no longer be alone?

"Earth like exoplanets" were discovered and reported

Small partners interested in the universe may often hear the report that "Earth like exoplanets" have been discovered. Up to now, humans have discovered more than 2000 exoplanets, some of which are highly similar to the Earth to some extent, but not suitable for human life. Is it true that only the earth is suitable for human life in such a vast universe? With this doubt, scientists began to study more deeply. Did they really discover the "super earth"?Astronomers announced that they had discovered two exoplanets about 100 light years away from Earth.

These two exoplanets are called super Earth.

The main reason that attracts scientists' attention is that the environment of these two planets is very similar to that of the Earth, and their mass is slightly larger than that of the Earth.

One of the planets, named lp 890-9c, has attracted the attention of scientists. Its volume is very close to our earth, about 1.4 times that of the earth.

However, it is the revolution cycle of this planet that makes people feel incredible.

It takes him about 3.9 Earth days to make a circle around the star.

So on this planet, we can observe the changes of the four seasons in 3.9 days, and we can imagine what it is like.

The planet Lp 8909c is located in the middle of the star and is livable.

It is very similar to the environment of our earth.

Although it is closer to the star, it receives very little radiation and heat from the star.

If the planet has an atmosphere, it means that there will be a lot of liquid water on the planet's surface.

Because the atmosphere can stabilize surface water resources.

If we all know that there are water resources, it means that there may be extraterrestrial life on this planet.

Let's review the planet Kepler 22b that we mentioned before.

The diameter of "Kepler 22b planet" is 2.4 times that of the earth, while the surface area of the earth is about 500 million square kilometers, and the surface area of Kepler 22B is about six times that of the earth, that is, about 3 billion square kilometers. As you know, the orbital revolution period is about 290 days, which is not much different from the Earth.

When humans found this planet, they were very excited, because the environment of this planet and our earth is very similar. The central star around which it orbits is very similar to the sun.

Scientists even call it the second home of mankind.

But we are very sorry that the distance between Kepler 22b and our earth is about 600 light years.

What is the concept of 600 light years?

According to the fastest way of information transmission for human beings to convey information to that planet, it takes about 600 years to reach the speed of light.

If we do not consider the occurrence of intermediate errors or accidents, it will take more than 600 years to communicate once.

So even if Kepler 22b's environment is similar to our earth, this distance will limit us to reach this planet.

What's more, so far, according to the speed of Voyager 1, the farthest probe in human flight, it has only reached the edge of the solar system after more than 40 years of flight.

It is only 22 billion km away.

Therefore, if Kepler 22b looks at it according to the existing physical cognition, it may always be a dream that is unreachable for human beings.

But lp8909c is different. This planet is only about 100 light years away from our Earth.

It is much closer than Kepler 22b.

However, even such a short distance is still unable to achieve this goal for our current human science and technology.

So it seems that the distance of 100 light years is not far, but according to the existing technology of human beings, we want to reach that planet. It may take tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of years to make use of today's aircraft.
