The State Of The World

This Is An Opinion Piece

I hate the world we live in.

I hate the lies we're told.

What makes me sick is the fact that we can see the commercialized destruction of the human race and still turn to our youth and say, "you have a future". I hate the fact that we watch systematic oppression impact everyone every day and still tell them to go forth and multiply. The powers that be spit in the faces of those who built their glass houses, and they act as if the barriers make them different. They created the idea of currency and controlled what the rest of us get JUST so they could have something we don't. They have to backslide through the loopholes they pay lawyers to find just to get ahead in a system THEY CREATED! They convince you that you have to get off your ass to make something of yourself when theirs are growing roots from meaningless "meetings", their lips are bruised from the ass kissing they do. Tell me, how can you still live in a system that normalized breaking a child's spirit just so they don't "dream too hard" or "aim too high"? The system kept people in chains and the others blinded by a made-up dream of a nation that wasn't even a real nation, but a company. A company that uses your existence as credit, your labor as a tax right off, and your children as collateral we send into wars they've already planned and scripted an ending to. How? How can we stay? How could you support it? Our world is burning and the powers that be are only going leave it and us behind, on spacecrafts paid for and built by us. They will leave us with fallen rubble while we point fingers at each other.

What do we do? The world is ending, and we're all watching in slow motion. We could turn it around, we could. We can't stop the collapse of a broken system, but we can work to make a new one from the ashes. If we stop trying to make everything about "US AGAINST THEM". It is simply us against us. In the face of mass tragedy we mustn't crumble, we mustn't hide. The first thing to go when the world turns upside down WILL be your petty comforts, your expensive shiny things. They won't matter. We live in a system that praises you for having shiny things, the envy of friends, the admiration from strangers- ITS MEANINGLESS, but it does make you feel good. It feels good to have a house, you can put anything in. It feels good to have a car, you can go anywhere in. What feels good- at the core of it all, is the idea of freedom. Right here, right now 12-17-2023 we are watching all freedoms slowly dissipate, through laws, genocide, and modern-day slavery and it is so sick you have to wonder if we ever truly had freedom. Think. Have we ever truly had freedom? The right to choose unlimited, curated choices. The right to live without unjudged, unchallenged lifestyles. Undocumented travel, territory restrictions. Think. ARE WE FREE? Is this what freedom looks like to you? Being spoon-fed half-truths or downright lies on every news channel. Being misled by labels and gas lit in voting booths. Poisons in your food, metals in your babies' milk, taxed healthcare that only poisons you further, THIS IS YOUR FREEDOM? If you have children, hug them. If you have lovers, hug them. If you have anyone in your life, hug them. That hug is the only free thing you can give them if nothing is done to fix the mess we were too blind to see before it was too late.
