WARNING! SPOILERS for The Bad Batch 3x13, 'Into The Breach'.

The third and final season of The Bad Batch is racing towards it's conclusion, with just two episodes remaining. The ending of episode 3x13, 'Into The Breach', saw the members of Clone Force 99 finally secure a ride to Tantiss after locking on to an Imperial ship, with the hope that they can rescue their beloved 'little sister', Omega, and other captive Clones from Dr. Royce Hemlock and his dangerous experiments.

Some fans are concerned about the fact that the Batch are headed to Tantiss alone, and unaware of Omega's already forming personal plan to escape with the Force-sensitive children who are part of Hemlock's Project Necromancer. The next episode, titled 'Flash Strike', will likely begin to show the outcome of some of these events. However, the title of The Bad Batch's series finale, 'The Cavalry Has Arrived', hints that more help his on the way for our favourite defective clones. But just who will that help be?

Let's look at the most likely options.

Captain Rex and his Rogue Clones

Throughout The Bad Batch, we've seen disillusioned Clone Troopers defect from The Empire, many of them joining a company of rogue clones led by Captain Rex. Rex, of course, was a major figure in the Clone Wars series as the Captain of 501st Legion, once led by Anakin Skywalker. Rex was saved from completing the deadly Order 66 when former Jedi, and Rex's own close friend Ahsoka Tano located and removed Rex's inhibitor chip, and ever since, has been working to warn his clone brothers of the chip's existence. Clone Force 99 check in with Rex periodically throughout the series, culminating in Echo's decision to leave the Batch and join him late in season two.

Rex and his rogues have also been seeking out Tantiss in the hope of rescuing the clones held captive there, so assuming the Batch can get coordinates to Rex, whether they show up to help is not so much a matter of if, but when. However, whether the mission will work out well for them is questionable, considering Rex already lost a great deal of his forces across the events of The Bad Batch episodes 3x06 and 3x07.

Also, longer term followers of Star Wars content will already be aware that by the time of Rex's next chronological appearance in Star Wars: Rebels, only Gregor and Wolffe remain with him. The Rogue Clones may be headed for a bloodbath.

Phee Genoa

It was early in the second season of The Bad Batch that our heroes first encountered the affable Pirate Phee Genoa. Phee is not a typical Pirate, instead considering herself a liberator of historical artifacts, and while Hunter is concerned when Omega takes a liking to Phee, she soon proves the Batch has nothing to fear from her. In return for their help finding a valuable artifact, she guides the Batch to a safe haven on the island of Pabu. Eventually, she appears to develop feelings for Tech.

Phee has continued to aid the Batch in the final season, so it would not be surprising to see her arrive as part of the finale's promised Cavalry.

Asajj Ventress

After having what many consider one of the most interesting character arcs in the Clone Wars series, starting as a Sith Apprentice/Assassin before eventually becoming an anti-heroic Bounty Hunter, Asajj Ventress made her Bad Batch debut in season three's ninth episode. After her ally Fennec Shand informs her of the Batch's search for information on M-counts, Ventress arrives on Pabu offering to test Omega for Force-abilities. While Omega's brothers are wary at first, Ventress earns their trust after saving Omega from a Sea Monster.

Interestingly, Ventress shows a more balanced use of the Force than in Clone Wars. While still using some Dark Side powers such as the Force choke, Ventress also connects to the light, able to connect with oceanlife through the Force. She also makes use of a yellow lightsaber rather than Sith red.

During her appearance in 3x09, Ventress warns the Batch that they may not be safe on Pabu, and that Omega may not be safe with them long-term. Ventress is expected to appear in at least one more episode, and having bonded with Omega during her first appearance, some fans believe she may sense her in trouble through the Force, and join the Batch's rescue effort.

Taking this further, a new theory suggests that the Bad Batch, or at least the members of it who survive the Finale, will have to accept that they are not enough to keep Omega safe. The series will end with the Force-sensitive Ventress taking Omega under her protection, another step on her continuing path to redemption.

It is also possible that help may come from those already inside the Tantiss base..

Emerie Karr

First introduced as one of Hemlock's assistant scientists on Tantiss, Dr. Emerie Karr reveals herself as a fellow female clone, and sister to Omega, after the latter's capture at the end of The Bad Batch's second season. From early on in her first round of captivity on Tantiss, Omega wants to believe the best of Emerie's intentions, and Emerie, for her part, forms some form of attachment to Omega as well, returning her doll despite a ban on personal items.

When Emerie is promoted and granted access to the Vault, she is disturbed to discover that the test subjects of Project Necromancer are young Force-sensitive children. Her unease grows when Cad Bane delivers another new test subject, this one only an infant. Many fans hope that Emerie will ultimately prove herself a true sister to Omega, and help her escape with the other captive children.

CX-2

Since his introduction in 3x06, 'Infiltration', CX-2, a member of Hemlock's Clone X assassin program, has been a thorn in the Bad Batch's side, even being the one to eventually recapture Omega. So, why are fans hoping he switches sides? Well, it's all due to a fan theory regarding CX-2's true identity.

The theory goes that after his assumed death in season two, Tech was actually discovered and brainwashed by Hemlock, becoming CX-2. If this is true, and the Batch discover this information and are able to remind CX-2/Tech of his true identity, he will surely join the rescue effort. Unfortunately, some are beginning to expect that there is not enough time left to pull this story off, and that CX-2 is either not Tech, or else his true identity will be left horribly, tragically ambiguous.

Even if help comes for The Bad Batch when the finale arrives, we may not necessarily get a happy ending.
