science fiction
The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.
Mother Earth
Thousands of voices banged against the walls and roared a deafening rumble into the ears of a small girl. People of all kinds clambered about, their feet shuffling and scuffing against the bare, cold stone beneath. They all passed by her, almost as if she was invisible. Her broken and battered wings hung low, the tattered feathers brushing against the ground stirring up trash and debris. Her clothes had been ripped up from a fight that had lasted a lifetime, leaving her ravaged like a meek lamb among ruthless wolves. Her eyes were red and dull. Her painted face was no longer flawless. Mascara streamed down her cheeks and seemed to mark her as a piece of failed art.

I absolutely love science fiction. Trying to imagine what can happen in the far future or even the near future is so inspirational. “Star Trek” and “Aliens” are two of my favorite franchises. Of course, I cannot forget “Back to the Future”, a movie that is all about time travel.

We stayed in the hospital for three days after my daughter was born. We both needed tests done. “First child?” the nurse asked as he ushered us in from the waiting room. I shook & nodded my head all at once.

This is a story of a beast, no, not that one. This individual will be intense, yet low-key, he will demand complete submission, yet publicly he will appear as docile as a dove. He's been with us all along; loved, respected, cheered, adored. Crowds flock to him, audiences quiver in their seats, longing to hear all he has to say. Presidents, kings and queens, leaders, dictators, they all succumb to his whims. How he rose to this place is a mute point, the fact of the matter, is that he is a tyrant. In a not too distant future, this beast will rise to a position of ultimate authority, he will command governments and armies. Through the force of his indomitable will, he has all his orders carried out without question, without delay. Those he commands will carry out the duties he assigns them. They will be ordained with the blessings of the holy church to transgress the laws of the church, setting themselves as the highest authority.

I stare blankly at the darkness that surrounds me in my desolate cell. My heart constantly pounding with fear, not knowing what lurked behind the daunting silhouette on the walls. I clutch onto my thin blanket, tears falling aimlessly towards the side of my pillow. I try not to whimper nor make a sound, for the Great Leader would hear my unfaithfulness. I’ve been replaced by gritty dirty skin, long jagged hair and a blotchy uniform with #83924 tattooed on the right pocket. I’ve been here for several months but I always seem to lose count. They said to me that they were going to help me, take me to a place filled with happiness, love and peace; I still long to see it. Even though it alarms me when they see into my eyes, my mind is still as free as a bird; but that’s what I believe. I know what they are trying to do here, brainwash and manipulate us, they want us to do their dirty work, but who though?. I’ve seen my brothers, Henri and Alexi, they too must of thought the same, but now I know they don’t; they don’t recognise me. I don’t exist anymore. As I close my eyes to gain some sort of energy, I am lured into my related dreams. A glimpse of my mother, tears trailing down her cheek, I turn to meet with my father, sadness consuming his soul. I peer down, blow out my candles. My mind clears itself. That was all.
⚠️ WARNING! Do Not Go Into The Light!
What if I told you that upon death no matter who you're greeted by and no matter what they tell you, do not head into the light. What you do now may save you a lifetime or two. So remain calm and seek further counsel once they go through their speech. Again the important thing is to remain calm, and don’t get lost in your emotions. I get a chill writing this. With an upcoming Matrix movie on the horizon, something in my gut tells me it’s the perfect time to write an article explaining The Reincarnation Trap and how it connects to The Matrix's version of Simulation Theory.

“Matthew...Matthew...are you there buddy?” a soothing voice called into the void of his sleep. “Matthew!” He was yanked out of his dream by a sharp jab in the ribs.

The land of Zabeth welcomes all. All that feel weary, undeserving, and impaired to concepts of accepting greatness. The land welcomes you. Those that need help with accepting the fears and dread caused by the daily things of what’s broadcasted to the public. Here in the lands we never situate the wickedness the earth gave off. Although our morals, values, and will for fulfillment are the same we have chains in the energy to prevent violent, harmful, and hateful ways from excelling into existence.

In all the battles of what’s better Star Trek or Star Wars it’s never been much of a competition. Both stories are great and unable to be compared. Being a Child of the 80s I knew the world of imagination quite well. I have the wildest Thoughts of talking creatures, aliens and the magic within it and surrounding us in the universe. Star Trek was first introduced to me by my neighbor when I was about 4 or 5 years old. It was so fun and imaginative giving me such inspiration and hope for the future to see and meet these interesting creatures in all their uniqueness. I enjoyed the Imaginative nature a lion witch and the wardrobe due to the interesting nature of walking through wardrobe into a whole new world. This was nothing in comparison to Star Trek which took me to many new worlds and introduced me to so many awesome characters and creatures, all within the confines of my bed.

An oversized space helmet sits atop a five-year-old boy’s head while his arms are folded across his chest. The boy’s legs dangle at the edge of a large lounge chair about a foot above the floor. Two adults sit on a loveseat a few feet facing the child. “I’m Mr. Wright, and this is my wife, Mrs. Wright. I was a friend of your father. Your father asked if something happened to him that we would be your guardians. You know something happened; you saw it. We will be your new parents.” The somber explanation to the boy does not move him. Benjamin sits there, hiding any emotion that he might have under that oversized space helmet.

Ever since I was a child, things have been a little strange for me. Even before the Briggs academy, I was involved with the military. My “parents”, Christopher and Faren Brown, were Navy engineers through and through. Stubborn, strong, and dead set on helping others; right to the end. I was never truly their son, yet from the moment they found me; they took me in and cared for me as if I was their own.

So many worlds, so little time! I thought I wouldn't be able to pick one as the best, but after a few days of reading over Piers Anthony, Mercedes Lackey, Ursula K. LeGuin, and so on I then laid my eyes on Terry Pratchett and it all clicked into place.
