No Justice, No Peace
Libra is the only zodiac sign represented by an inanimate object (the Scales of Justice), which I believe automatically ranks it as the most unique of the twelve astrological signs. I’m sure everyone can argue why their sign is the best, but there is something about being a “Lucky Libra” that makes me embrace every trait: the good, the bad, and the ugly. So here are twelve facts about me to give you a true glimpse into the soul of a Libra.
Monique WillPublished 3 years ago in FuturismApocalyptic Blackout
Fires, hurricanes, hailstorms, mass destruction. This signaled the beginning of the apocalypse that had descended upon us. Thankfully I was prepared and had enough essentials packed up to where I could run and take off to a safe underground bunker community I had learned about. I was dodging all sorts of things on my way to the bunker. Zombies, combat fighters, law enforcement. I ducked, dodged, and weaved my way around until I made it safely to the bunker. When I got to the bunker, I was shown where my living quarters would be while I resided there. I unpacked and decided to go exploring around to see what I could find. I went walking around for a bit, and discovered that it was like an underground city of sorts. Almost like Atlantis, but not quite.

“Do I make you proud?” The young boy started, before happily declaring, “I finished the book!” He possessed a leather-covered book in both hands. His grandfather, comfortably seated beside him, gave a faint hum of acknowledgement.

Note: There will be numbers by some phrases or words. If you scroll to the last page and look at the little article corresponding with the number, it will add to the full experience of the story. I’m sorry for the format of this feature, but I know not enough about technology to put it at the bottom of the page containing the number.

HOMEWORLD The intercom trumpeted over the bustling chatter, “Now arriving at Earth-Three. Doors will open on the left and the right.” The transport gently locked into the landing dock at the station. People bobbed up from their seats, ready to disembark. The airtight doors squeaked open and released a current of scrambling bodies into the bright station.
Meka MirosPublished 3 years ago in FuturismCards on the Table
Dark, Scorpionic energy roils and sizzles around us as we take our seats at the little Victorian table with its stylized harp pedestal. The room is dim and warm. A choir of candles kneels in crystal dishes scattered about us, their song the whisper of flame against blue shadows. I smile at you across the ebony polish of the table and tap the deck of cards that lies between us. I am knocking at a door.
Liz ZimmersPublished 3 years ago in FuturismAnother Pisces
I was born on March fifteenth at five thirty in the evening, the Ides of March, a Pisces sun, Leo moon and Virgo rising. A child with their head constantly in the clouds, a dreamer with an imagination so large I am now nearing twenty-nine years of age and I am still afraid of what could be lurking in the dark at night. Pisces, the fish, since the age of three I had endured years of swimming lessons and then moved on to competitive swimming, dropping out at the age of fourteen. I still find myself drawn to bodies of water, whether it is a bathtub in my apartment, the ocean, or an aquarium. In this hectic world, I find peace and solace in water.

Part #1 — Present: June 1, 2021 — Somewhere in the moonlit skies outside LA Likely hundreds of cycles ago, the Great Kingdom was born. Cycles ago, my great-grandmother began ruling. She was 13. (That's how we work here.) Anyways, a fellowship of Elves fancied our kingdom. We merely told them no, so they did something Elves tend to do and declared war upon our people. The fighting persisted until my mother was 13 and able to rule. At that point, enough was enough, and so my mother set out to conclude the war. After completing some searching, my mother came across The Lord of the Skies. She'd heard about his tremendous legacies, and so she urged him to follow and conclude the war. He accepted but at a price. As the Lord wasn't exactly evil, he would only aid those who meant well, but he was also quite crooked and so was the price that he demanded. The Lord wanted my mother's first child if God wanted her to bear one. He wanted the child so that he could use his eyes, as he had none. My mother tearfully accepted, for the comfort of her Kingdom was more important than the happiness of herself. So, The Lord of the Skies progressed to conclude the war and cast out the disastrous Elves.
Christian HawkPublished 3 years ago in FuturismWhat's My Sign?
What's my sign? I would say STOP fits me perfectly, I even like the shape. YIELD is probably more accurate and who can argue with triangles? Oh, you mean my Zodiac sign? Seriously, are you serious? I mean, come on, no one buys into that. Okay, okay... I will look it up just to prove it's nonsense. According to the Zodiac rules, I am a Capricorn... a goat, because my birthday falls between December 22 and January 19. Makes perfect sense.

Sa’li had been alone for two weeks now. The near barren rock where she was stranded had almost no traffic. And what there was, she couldn’t afford a charter, even if she was near port. The moon was smaller than her homeworld back starward. The gravity still made her uneasy. She tripped over a crack in the carved stone of the ground and lofted into a nearby wall before stumbling to her feet. The air glistened with the silicate dust she had kicked up. An incomprehensibly geometric flow of stars illuminated by the long evening sun stormed from where her hand landed on the wall.
Cosmo Scorpio
My mother has always loved her magazines. Vogue, Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, People, they were always there littering the tabletops. But her Cosmo was my favorite to sneak away with as a young girl.

Saying that I’m an Aquarius is too short of a description. There are so many complex pieces to the human puzzle, and the month in which someone is born is far from the most important detail about someone’s existence.
