Escaping reality
“Everything comes with a price. What is to give light must endure burning”. That was the first line she read on what it seemed to be an ordinary little black book. Little did she know that the book was neither ordinary nor random.
The Other Side of Me
I don't remember when I became aware of zodiac signs, but I was fascinated the more I learned about them. I'm born in August, falling under the Leo zodiac sign. I find it pretty cool that my zodiac sign is the embodiment of a lion, the king of the jungle. However, I find that I don't exactly fit the typical Leo archetype the deeper I read into it.

Being a Libra
I am a Libra and it has played a larger aspect in my life than I ever would have liked, and honestly being a Libra sucks. There did I win the money? No? It has to be at least six hundred words you say, well okay than... While most Libra’s (Myself included) are fairly left brained most people don’t appreciate that way of thinking. In fact it often makes one feel like a jaguar in a zoo seen as both beautiful and foreign but glad to have a barrier just in case.
Marjorie Honey Don't Look
Thousands of words smeared as bourbon chased the white pages until they all turned honey. Accompanying the sound of clinking glass, Gina heard an exhale of frustration come from one of the offices. She trucked her cleaning cart down the hall and glanced at the name on the door:

Seventy-two hours left. I slowly opened my eyes and got out of bed. I felt dizzy and lightheaded. I motioned toward a wall which had a monitor built into it. The screen flickered on and displayed a single message: Reality is merely an illusion.

I have never much been one for horoscopes. I tend to be much more scientifically minded. When I look to the sky, it is not for the purpose of gaining insight to my personality, but rather to gain a peek at planets, comets, and Messier objects. I am also one of those who emits steam from their ears whenever someone says “astronomy” when they mean “astrology,” and vice versa.
