Do you know what your birth chart says? Or, do you even know what a birth chart is? Your birth chart is based off of the time, location, and date of your birth. At the time when you were born, every planet and star and thing up there in the universe was in a specific place. Doesn’t seem like it matters, but it absolutely does. Your birth chart displays where all those planets and stuff were, and this contributes to the magic that is your personality.

Every birth chart has 12 houses. These are the 12 houses (of the zodiac… I guess), and each house symbolizes something different. I’ve decided to start a series where I talk about each house of the zodiac, to help everyone learn a little more about themselves.

Check out my profile for the other articles on the other houses.

The 9th house in your birth chart represents what you believe in, and how you learn in the education system and the real world.

If you haven’t already gotten your birth chart, I encourage you to go to astro.com and enter your information. The chart is completely free, and it shows you all of your signs and planets and placements. Once you’ve done that, follow along with me while we explore the ninth house.

This is my birth chart...

As you can see in the picture, there are little numbers on the inside of the circle, near the middle. You’ll notice that each number matches a section, and there are little symbols in there. Each section represents a house, and the symbols represent planets. Use the box on the left side to match the images with the planets if you don’t already know!

If you’re following along with me (and I’m explaining it right), you should be able to tell that I have an empty ninth house.

DISCLAIMER: I have gained this information from various sources on the internet. If you see something in here that may be yours and you would like it removed, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]

Sun in the 9th house: You have learned a lot over the years, and this gives your ego a big boost. When others don’t listen to you, it hurts you, because you know that you have something important to say. You hold yourself to the highest standards, but hold others to high standards as well.

Moon in the 9th house: You may have a mother who didn’t really want children, and you may be separated from the rest of the family. You want to escape and be somewhere else, so you don’t deal with your emotions. Your mantra is “anywhere but here.”

Mercury in the 9th house: You love to learn, and you may come across as a know-it-all. Even though you do well in academics and school, you aren’t so good with street smarts.

Venus in the 9th house: You are very intelligent and have a strong belief system. Your teachers like you, and you may end up dating a teacher or authoritative figure. You enjoy traveling.

Mars in the 9th house: Traveling and learning are very important to you. You may shove your opinions down the throats of others. You like to know everything, but you’ve never gotten a chance to show that part of you. People never pay attention to how much you really know.

Jupiter in the 9th house: You can be a bit of a know-it-all, due to the fact that you have so much knowledge. You almost have a sixth sense that makes you aware of all things. You are a very perceptive person who loves to learn, and you may find good fortune in publishing.

Saturn in the 9th house: You may find yourself in school for a large part of your life, and this causes you to not enjoy your life fully. Remember, you already know a whole bunch of stuff – it’s time to balance work and play.

Uranus in the 9th house: School bores you and you may find It hard to stay in school. You can probably be found jumping from one belief system to the next. Your mind is everchanging, and you have crazy, crazy ideas. You’re a true weirdo and you enjoy rebelling.

Neptune in the 9th house: You’re very aware of other worldly ideas and beliefs, but you may have a hard time believing in yourself or distinguishing your own views. You have to work on naturally expanding your mind.

Pluto in the 9th house: You may have experience getting kicked out of an educational institution, as you upset the norm. Your beliefs are ever-changing, and each one transforms you more than the last one.

Chiron in the 9th house: In order to find yourself, you may have to connect and relate to your higher self. You are naturally interested in esoteric topics, such as spirituality and philosophy. You give out great advice to others, but you may struggle with feeling incomplete. You will probably commit to many different teachings throughout your lift, and you may also find a lot of imbalance in your life.

North Node in the 9th house: You search for higher knowledge and ways to expand your lift. You may start with a lighthearted and superficial attitude, and that will become a genuine curiosity for more serious issues.

With an empty 9th house, your knowledge will naturally expand in your life. Higher education and philosophy aren’t very important to you, and you may easily communicate with foreign cultures.

A stellium occurs when there are four or more planets in the same house. With a stellium in the 9th house, you will always search to expand your intellect and develop your self-philosophy. You may also be aggressively intimate with God or a Higher Power.

There’s always more to learn. The signs on the outer ring of each house also play a part in determining your personality. Thanks for reading and come back next time to learn about the 10th house!
