Do you know what your birth chart says? Or, do you even know what a birth chart is? Your birth chart is based off of the time, location, and date of your birth. At the time when you were born, every planet and star and thing up there in the universe was in a specific place. Doesn't seem like it matters, but it absolutely does. Your birth chart displays where all those planets and stuff were, and this contributes to the magic that is your personality.

If you'd like to learn more about birth charts, feel free to send me an email at [email protected] or visit my Tumblr page! Right now, I'm completing sample chart readings for free—covering your sun, moon, and rising signs, as well as the planets in your first three houses.

Every birth chart has 12 houses. These are the 12 houses (of the zodiac... I guess), and each house symbolizes something different. I've decided to start a series where I talk about each house of the zodiac, to help everyone learn a little more about themselves! Check out my profile for the other articles on the other houses.

The 7th house in your birth chart represents your relationships, who you're attracted to, the foundations of your relationships, how you cooperate, and how you help others.

If you haven't already gotten your birth chart, I encourage you to go to astro.com and enter your information. The chart is completely free, and it shows you all of your signs and planets and placements. Once you've done that, follow along with me while we explore the seventh house!

This is my birth chart...

As you can see in the picture, there are little numbers on the inside of the circle, near the middle. You'll notice that each number matches a section, and there are little symbols in there. Each section represents a house, and the symbols represent planets. Use the box on the left side to match the images with the planets if you don't already know!

If you're following along with me (and I'm explaining it right), you should be able to tell that I have Venus in my seventh house.

DISCLAIMER: I have gained this information from various sources on the internet. If you see something in here that may be yours and you would like it removed, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].

Sun in the 7th house: You care a lot about how others see you and what you see in them. You have a need to have a partner in order to feel like yourself, and you may find it hard to function when you're not in a solid relationship. However, be cautious of your boundaries.

Moon in the 7th house: You may have grown up with a mother who had relationship issues. She may have made her negative views of love and relationships known to you. You tend to cover up your emotions and need for connection while seeking out a love that is unconditional. You may lose yourself in other people and this will hurt you, but you need to learn how to feel all of your emotions on your own.

Mercury in the 7th house: The two most attractive characteristics in a partner are intelligence and wit. When you're not around an intelligent and witty person, you feel unintelligent and like something is missing. Others may make you feel stupid quite easily, so pick and choose who you want to be around carefully.

Venus in the 7th house: You will love yourself when you're loved. You give a lot while others take, and you don't seem to get what you deserve, if you're even sure of what that should be. You may not feel attractive even though others find you very pleasing to look at. Accepting yourself is the first step to finding beauty and love.

Mars in the 7th house: You can actually be quite mean, and you may be hard to love until you realize this. You just know what you want and you go for it. It's not a bad thing. You tend to be attracted to aggression in others.

Jupiter in the 7th house: You think the best about love and will have relationships with good partners. Someone foreign is very attractive to you. Luck comes easier to you when you're with a partner, and fame may also come to you from your partners.

Saturn in the 7th house: You learn your lessons from karma through the needs and mistakes of others. Relationships are serious business. You're actively, but silently, searching for a life partner.

Uranus in the 7th house: You may be attracted to someone ridiculous, rebellious, or both. You are magnetically attracted to unique people even if you don't know them well. You can become crazy in relationships and you may also have many partners.

Neptune in the 7th house: You're blinded by love often. You feel as if you have a strong unconscious connection to certain people, and you feel uneasy when you're alone. Around others, you give off a false confidence.

Pluto in the 7th house: Your relationships have significance. You've died and been born again. Destructive people are your vice, and the right partner will give you a new reason to live.

Chiron in the 7th house: Deep within you, you have the potential to express the collective unconscious. Though you're confused about who you are, you have found yourself through relationships. Think of yourself as a mirror. Others will reflect and respond to the way you see yourself.

North Node in the 7th house: Your social awareness can be developed through close relationships with others. You have an egocentric and loner approach to life, but that will eventually change and you will be able to understand and accept the ideas of others. You will find your happiness through the warmth of relationships.

With an empty 7th house, you won't focus much on your relationships, relating, negotiating, and compromising.

A stellium occurs when there are four or more planets in the same house. With a stellium in the 7th house, you're not likely to get married. If you do, you're not likely to stay married. You may be a loner.

There's always more to learn! The signs on the outer ring of each house also play a part in determining your personality, and I include those readings in my birth charts readings! Thanks for reading and come back next time to learn about the 9th house! (8th house post here).
