Psychologists say that there are two types of people in the world: those who want to have sex and those who do not want to have sex. Of course, the reasons for both categories of people are varied.

Some people prefer abstinence until a certain age, others prefer sex instead of food, and others associate sex with the weekend. But what about the need for communication and socialization, but especially love?

Sexuality, a human need

Freud argued that sex is very important to man. He even said that man needs sex like water, food, and sleep.

The famous Freud also popularized the idea that we humans need sex to function normally in society, abstinence being a problem, not only physical but also mental.

Freud believes that we need an active and healthy sex life, this being the fundamental human need that he attaches more importance to than other basic needs.

Abstinence, reality, or myth?

He admits that for a moment the thought "There are no people who have not had sex!"

Let me contradict you. It is natural to wonder if they are happy or how they can survive without sex, but do not forget that appetite comes from eating and that any need can be controlled with the help of the psyche and the mind.

In the absence of a balanced intimate life, there are hormonal and emotional problems: depression, neurosis, and anxiety.

People who do not have regular sex can suffer from hormonal and metabolic imbalances. That is why some experts say that a break of more than six months or a year is not indicated.

Meanwhile, Ian Kerner, a sexologist and author of "Sex Detox," says sexual abstinence has benefits: the need for physical and mental renewal.

Thus, he believes that after a certain period, a month as he advises us, we will look at sensuality with different eyes, it will be like an impulse for an intimate life.

Lack of sex can allow you to enjoy your individuality and independence. Also, lack of sex gives you the certainty that someone loves you for what you are and represent, not for what you offer them sexually.

And don't forget that lack of sex can be a life lesson, teaching you how to love unconditionally, not just driven by bodily desire.

Also, sometimes a break from sexual life is indicated because there is a possibility that sex hides certain problems and difficulties in the relationship. This may be the need for sexual detoxification.

But what is sexual detoxification? Sexual detoxification involves a month of sexual abstinence. During all this time, every day, you have to do various activities together: reading, trips, movies, discussions on various topics to solve the problem that affects your relationship.

The purpose of this detox is to help you analyze your relationship, both emotionally and sexually. Also, after this period of sexual detoxification, you will feel that you can communicate more easily because you will know each other even better.

So what are the benefits of sex?

Sexually active people face a major problem when they experience abstinence from becoming nervous, depressed, and agitated.

Sex is very important in a person's healthy life, especially if sex is intertwined with love. Sex helps you recharge your batteries and relaxes you.

But here are the concrete benefits of sex:

First, sex relieves stress, then lowers blood pressure, reducing stress in the body. Also, you may not know it, but if you have sex at least once a week, your antibody levels increase, and in this way, you get rid of the cold.

So, if you run away from lemon teas and cold medicines, stay active in bed.

Sex can become your new diet. Depending on how elastic you are and how much energy you consume during sex, you can maintain your figure.

Did you know that 30 minutes of sex burns at least 55 calories? It may seem like a job with poor results, but if you are very sexually active, you will see results very quickly.

Sex also helps and protects your heart, and when I say that I do not mean the love you receive from your partner. I am referring strictly to the biological benefits that sex brings you: if you have sex at least twice a week, you can significantly reduce your risk of having a fatal heart attack.

You may have thought that sex causes you insomnia and makes you lose your nights, but in fact, sex helps you sleep. How do you explain that? During orgasm, your body releases the hormone that promotes sleep, a hormone called oxytocin.

Do you want to live well and long? Then have a lot of sex. Sex helps you live longer if you practice it regularly.

How do I know I need sex?

If you get angry at everything and you have a depression that you can't get rid of, then, of course, you need sex. During sex, endorphins, also called the hormone of happiness, are released into the body to later control a good mood and a positive attitude.

In this way, you will get rid of the depressive state, but also of the inexplicable nerves, come as if from nowhere.

Sex is the ideal analgesic for premenstrual pain. Here's how to explain it: Before orgasm, a hormone called oxytocin is released into the bloodstream and causes the formation of an analgesic, such as natural morphine, and thus you get rid of monthly pain.

If you feel the need for a change in your physical appearance, then find out that the bed, desk, car, or pool are the best places where you can practice gymnastics that will help you shape your body shape, more precisely sex.

Did you know that during intercourse, a man's pulse increases from 70 to 150 beats per minute or that a sex match burns as many calories as 15 minutes of running on the treadmill? And one more thing, if you have sex once a day, you will lose 500 grams a week.

How long can you endure without sex before its lack negatively affects you both physically and mentally?
