How sexuality plays into the feminist movement.
Feminist Quotes About Relationships
When I feel frustrated or disappointed I often find inspiration in feminist quotes about relationships. These quotes prove that everyone deserves to be happy. But what does happiness mean for us? Could we be happy while being single or being in an unhealthy relationship? We tried to find an answer in feminist quotes about the relationship.

We all know a long list of insulting ‘four letter words’, some more impactful than others. However, in today’s society, one stands out to have deep social impact with a multitude of meanings; from degrading a woman’s status derived through her sexual life to a generic ‘throw-around’ insult much like any other.
Benjamin WareingPublished 8 years ago in FilthyBooks for the Modern Feminist
In the past 10 or so years, a revolution has been reignited. Not so different than that of the "bra burning" women of the 60s, or the suffragists of the early 20th century, women are demanding equality. Today, we call them modern feminists. What is a modern feminist? Well, really, it's anyone who believes in equality despite gender. A modern feminist can be a woman, or a man, of any age, ethnicity, or sexual preference. In a world where the tides are changing and women are becoming as successful and influential as men, it's the right time for the right questions to be asked.
Emily McCayPublished 8 years ago in FilthyAmy Schumer’s Sex Comedy
Dick is funny, orgy humor hilarious and big balls make us giggle. Amy Schumer’s sex comedy and horny humor has turned comedy upside down. The inside joke is that she is pointing a finger at men who have objectified women in humor for centuries. She says “How do you like it boys?”, and they love it. Women admire her for her honest approach to a century old problem. The joke is that Amy Shumer’s sex comedy, “I’m 160 pounds right now and can catch a dick whenever I want” is as important for what it says about our double standard society as it is just plain outrageous. Amy Schumer is an actress, comedian, and a feminist, her success hasn’t come without hardships and criticism. The New York native majored in theater and went on to do stand-up comedy. It was during this time that she performed her first stand-up show at Gotham Comedy Club and went on to appear on shows such as Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central Roast, and even Saturday Night Live. On top it all, she even launched her own successful sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer. Never one to shy away from sensitive topics, the outspoken sex comic’s brand of horny humor takes a shot at the hypocrisy of the so called, sexual revolution.

Language is sexist. It has never met the equality needs of women. As gender issues move to the forefront of society's eye, it will continue to combat equality. A male-dominated language cannot meet the needs of those whose gender identities do not "fit" the bifurcated mold it perpetuates. Society must stop turning a blind eye to male-centric language and pronouns, and focus on speaking in a way that victimizes no one. But how do we edit a language that has been around for centuries?
Filthy StaffPublished 8 years ago in FilthyWhen She Should Say No
Many women have a hard time saying no. Perhaps the difficulty lies not, as some archaic scientists once believed, in the fact that women have difficulty saying no to men due to their alpha presence. It is possible that the real problem for women is not saying yes or no, but asking the philistine male to repeat his question in a more coherent and desirable way. There are some that argue that women are people pleasers, and therefore have a tough time saying no in almost all situations, irrespective of which gender is asking the question. There is obviously a time for yes and a time for no. If a stranger invites you into his car on a corner, it would seem obvious that the answer should be no. If your favorite actor in a sitcom pulls up to you on that same corner to ask you out to lunch, it may not be so clear whether the answer is yes or no. For beautiful women, models, and actresses, the questions are often more ambiguous, and require more forethought before answering.

I watched three girls make out at an all-exclusive sexually charged event. And yes, I would watch it again. Skirt Club is the one night of the month where women can embrace their primal instincts with other women. It’s not about sex or how far you can go; but female empowerment. Genevieve LeJeune, Skirt Club founder, has seemingly performed the impossible by removing men from the female dating equation.
Natasha SydorPublished 8 years ago in FilthySuicidal Consequences of the Feminist Movement
Do women’s rights include the right to commit suicide? All of us concerned with the welfare of American women must answer no. We may hold different opinions on methods and ultimate goals, but we can all agree on one point: the movement must continue and it must flourish. However, if the fate of the Equal Rights Amendment in two Eastern states is any indication, the women’s movement is strangling itself with the rope of its own rhetoric. The November defeat of the amendment in New York and New Jersey will not be any more responsible for the death of the women’s rights than the smear tactics of its opponents were responsible for the negative votes. At most, these are contributing factors. If the women’s rights movement for equality dies, it will be a result of the leadership’s elitism and the consequent failure to concentrate on issues that are relevant to most women.
Kathy KeetonPublished 8 years ago in FilthyWhat is Femen?
“Our mission is protest! Our weapons are bare breasts!” The first thing you’re going to notice about a FEMEN protest is naked bodies, covered in slogans painted on skin and crowns of flowers in their hair. Breasts are the marker of the movement. Women taking off their shirts and showing their breasts is good press for FEMEN, the now-French based international women’s movement intent on improving women’s rights.
