Dive into kink

A glance into the lifestyle

There are many ways to dive into BDSM; it's a lifestyle that not everyone is suited for. To even begin research is your friend. There are books and pages out there to help. That's not saying everything you read is right or wrong.

This lifestyle just like any other has there ups and there downs but communication is key to any healthy relationship. To get a true look into the lifestyle guide books and going to a munch or a dungeon can be your best options. Not all can be found in a book just as not all can be learned in a munch or dungeon. Some have classes and workshops.

There are three things you can follow when in the lifestyle SSC, RACK,and PRICK. SSC is safe, sane and consensual. In this you are basically asking you and your partner if what your doing is safe, sane, and consensual. Consent is sexy and mandatory in this lifestyle. RACK is risk aware consensual kink. This is about being aware of the risk you are taking when you're involved in a kink and again that it is consensual. PRICK stands for personal responsibility, informed, consensual kink. This one is more for being personally responsible for the risk you are participating in and being informed about the risks and consent.

Now within this lifestyle there are 3 sub-categories Dom, Sub and Switch. Within these three are even more categories. Within dom there can be daddy dom, domme,Femdom, top, Brat tamer, Master ect. Within sub there can be brat, little, bottom, slave, Service submissive ect. With a switch you can have from both dom and sub as they can go between the two as they feel like.

Figuring out which category you identify with most isn't always easy. Nothing is black and white. Just as your life changes so can your likes and dislikes. Some switches later in life decide to be one or the other. And some subs decide they don't want the lifestyle at all or decide being a dom would be better for them. A dom can sometimes change to a sub or switch as well. As with life this too has shades of grey.

You never want to play without knowing exactly what you're getting yourself into. Just like you do not get a job without knowing what you are about to be doing either by training or by degree. You should not engage in a kink you know nothing about. Like age play you need to know what it is and how you perceive it. Or with rope bondage you want to know your way around a rope and the different ways to tie it on the body. Then there is sensory play which can be rather fun but you still need to know about how it works and what types of sensory play you wish to try.

With anything in life you will always be learning something new. Everyday something is learned by the world or by a singular person. You truly never stop learning. It is no different here you will learn your likes and dislikes as well as any partner you play with likes and dislikes. Going over the limits should not be tolerated. Just as abuse is not tolerated. A system should always be in place to stop what you're doing or know it's ok to continue and when you need to stop and talk about something before going on again.

Of course you don't have to take my word for any of this. You can find this all yourself in many other places. I will share with you one of the links of my own research when it comes to what I have talked about here. If you comment i would like to know what topic you would be interested in seeing my point of view on.

Have a great day and remember to stay safe when you delve into kink.
