Twilight of Ares - Episode Thirteen
A Microdose of Fiction Series
I've consolidated all of my stories into the library linked at the bottom of this page. From there, you can easily catch up from the beginning (looking at you Paul).

“All hands to the evac tunnel. Move!”
Claxons of every alert type blared as they followed the containment unit from the lab into the command center.
On a massive holo-display at the chamber’s center, the leviathan still floated over Hadfield Station, withstanding a punishing assault by the dreadnaughts UNN Agincourt, Kadesh, and Mariner – more firepower than humanity had unleashed in all of history combined.
It didn’t even flinch.
The holo-display shifted, no longer showing the battle of Ceres. Everyone froze, watching in shocked silence, all other assignments forgotten.
Three leviathans loomed over Olympus Mons.
The assault on Mars had begun.
