“What?” Dria said.

“It’s time we gotta make it to the island before Volic finds us!” Voltis said.

Volic a fire monster set in constant battle with Voltis a demon made of electricity. Voltis was on a search for Oia an oasis to him. A place for him and Dria to find peace. Dria was a Harpie freed from the curse. Dria’s nipples began to pop, it was icy cold amongst the land.

“Are you okay?” Voltis asked

“Yes!” Dria replied

It was much different now that the curse was lifted. With out her feathers everything felt different. She dawned a battle warn dress, almost the look of a gladiator. Ventured with her hair long covering her.

“Friss, the land of the frozen." She cried.

“Nice my electricity might keep us heated.” Voltis replied

“We’ll probably be fighting off the freezes.” She said

Freezes were small ice reptiles that had frozen breath such of a dragon. They could not fly but could leap high enough to believe so.

“We’ll fight our way out.” Voltis Cheered. “No worries"

“I know, I’ll morph if I have, too." Dria smiled.

The friss surrounded us we had no choice, but to run. Dria destroyed as many as possible. The chill in the air to much to morph out of form. The freezes trying to catch her talons with the whip of there tail. She flew from them in a pattern she knew would lose the Voltis’s electricity wasn’t doing much to stop them. They had to shove there way through the freezes to make it around the land. She unmorphed as the slide through the bridge of ice and off where they could make camp.

“We made it!” Voltis had said out loud.

“If we could live with it” Dria reminded him. “The innocent creatures defending there home amongst the wake of our freedom is almost cruelty like no other.”

“When we reach it we will have made it worth it, though.” he reminded.

The bridge that lay behind them had started to break. They would have to find another way around if they would retreat. If they did that would mean exile or worse execution. They could never go back unless they grew stronger. The fear of Volic behind them would never end. The judge, jury, And executioner of there tribal ways. He was strong enough to put them both under.

“I found food.” Dria bragged as Voltis cracked his Electric whip and made fire.

“We will be out of the ice in no time a few days left to journey.” He smiled.

“Food is almost done.” Dria said.

It was rough cooking in the cold, but her and Voltis manage to do it. There were other dangers out there in the frost, but they didn’t think of that now. The only thouhgt was survival to them. That was all that matter.

“Ah.” Volic screamed as they froze his one side with there icy blast. He used his fiery sword to disable the ice guard, he will make it through.

All he could think about, hold on to was the thought of finding them. The runners that fled the battle they would have won. No one knew yet on how many got slaughtered in there escape. The team had fallen to the side because of them.

“ You will not protect them in this.” Volic reminded them.

One had grabbed him with his whip as he felt the lash from the other. The pain searing as he battled them off of him. He had to make escape they were laughing as they tortured him. The battle was over, he did not need to feel the execution from it.

“Ha.” he had let out a solar flare that backed them.

He was able to escape. Not again he had thought to himself as they chased. he cut through an under pass hoping to get in front of them through the journey. Before the fight he wants to know why? Why, do it to them? Why, flee and abandoned them?

“Voltis!” she hollered as he was cleaning camp.

“Yeah, Dria.” he replied.

“How long?” she asked. “How long till Volic finds us after what we had done?”

Her heart beating wild from the fear of being hunted down. The two of them running away from it all the war, the pain and distance. The worry of losing Voltis forever by the way of Oia. They had to make it there to find peace and safety. The stars filled the night on this starry night. There life like a dream unexplained in the night sky.

“He won’t!” he rest assured Dria.

“You have to be ready.” Dria reminded him. “You have to be able to beat, we do.”

“And we will!” He exclaimed “Every battle getting rougher we learn more by the day.”

“I know.” Dria laughed. “Why do you think he is chasing us?”

“ Don’t know, yet.” He smiled “Don’t wanna find out.”

“Yeah.” she said doubtingly.

The night was passing on the day was getting better. They had made it to the Center of the ice land, the top of the mountain. Where the monster lived. It was a disturbing sight as the went through. Burn marks everywhere to the eye. The beast lay out missing limbs. A fiery slash upon its side.

“Volic!” Voltis whispered with tears
