I woke, feeling a little "beside myself," as I stretched and opened my eyes. It had been a long weekend. My first solo outing, since my divorce. I admit, I may have crossed some lines I had never crossed before. But what a time I had; I think.

So, I drug myself out of bed and into the bathroom, to splash some water on my face, and get the juices flowing.

"Ugh," I muttered, as the cold water met my warm skin.

"So, what exactly is your problem today?" A voice asked, as I looked up I caught my reflection scowling at me.

"I, uh...what's going on," I stammered, as I looked around for my prankster roommate, "ok, Sami, where are you?"

My reflection started to laugh. As I moved in closer, thinking I was dreaming, it reached through the glass, and smacked me.

"Why do you always do this?" it pleaded. "Why are you always so hard on yourself, and easy on the ones needing a kick in the butt?"

"I, I don't do that," I insisted, though, I knew she was right. She had been with me all the way, of course she knew.
