The Village That Disappears Every Full Moon
A Story Nobody Believed I first heard about Hollow Creek from an elderly shopkeeper in a remote mountain town. I had stopped there while researching local legends for a travel blog that occasionally covered strange and unexplained places. When I asked if there were any interesting locations nearby, the old man hesitated before mentioning a village hidden deep within the forest. According to him, the village had existed for over two hundred years, yet very few outsiders had ever visited it. The reason, he explained, was simple and unbelievable: every time a full moon appeared in the sky, the entire village disappeared.

The Cartography of Deception
The first lie I ever told appeared on my left wrist the night I turned sixteen. It was small, just four words in a font so delicate it looked like a vein had risen to the surface: "I'm fine, thank you." I'd said it to my grandmother that morning, brushing off her concern about the bruise on my collarbone. The bruise was from a boy at school. The lie was from survival.

I Inherited a House That Doesn't Exist on Any Map
An Unexpected Inheritance When my grandfather passed away, I expected to inherit little more than a few family photographs and some old furniture. Instead, I received a letter from a law firm informing me that he had left me a property hidden deep in the mountains. The news surprised everyone in the family. None of us had ever heard him mention owning another house. According to the documents, the property had belonged to him for more than forty years. Curious and slightly confused, I accepted the inheritance and decided to visit the place myself.

July 19, 1994 Wei was standing on the shore of a beautiful lake the name of which he didn’t know. He’d thought it was just a pit stop on their way to his final destination in Tibet, as his driver had stopped his overheating BJ212 military surplus vehicle and opened up the hood, trying to cool it down. Wei got out of the Jeep-looking car and went to the lake shore, admiring its breathtaking beauty. When he heard the car start and turned around, he saw his bag on the ground and the car driving off. Wei shouted at the driver to wait for him, but the driver just waved him off and said something that he’d reached his destination. Or brought Wei as far as he could.
