The king continued , "we were already told by your companion that Sir Visceroy is your groups leader . So I’ll let you answer us Sir Visceroy ." Visceroy blushed a little , then started to reply . We are from the village Green Crest. We we were sent here to find out about the monster and the cave . We were also sent to identify and locate treasure . We had information that this was a sapphire Cave , so we were wondering if we could mine some sapphire in the future as well as bring back some samples . I don’t know if it’s so smart for me to be so transparent , but you seem to be treating us fairly at the moment . I feel that honesty will be the best way to make a first impression .

About 5 minutes passed and then Wade walked in with a few insect warriors . It seemed he woke up ! He was guided to us by the insects . Rose greeted him while we were all still busy eating . “Hi wade ! How are you feeling ? Are you hungry ? Wade gave a small smile and replied shortly “ yes , the fish smells sublime . Oh and I’m fine . Sorry I hope you all are feeling well . Now I’ll be helping myself .” Then he scurried off like an animal aware of their primal desires . Some of the guys started drinking the beer we had been saving for after the battle . Visceroy yelled “ cheers , for we celebrate even in defeat !“ We cheered as everyone laughed .

I must’ve passed out again , because I woke up in a small cave room being treated by Rose . " Where are we ?" I asked her. She replied , " We’re in a small cave room and we are honorary guest of the hosts . I am told once everyone is recovered from the poison that the king and queen want to give us a gift ." A gift I thought ? Right , they were grateful that we took took out the giant cyclops . They called it a monster , I guess they still don’t know what it really was . I mean we still don’t really know what it was . John said the giant was taller than any cyclops he’s ever met back home .

Summer was a glorious season. The air let you feel it. It didn't attack you like it did during colder seasons. It was your partner. The Summer sun beamed down on Nathan's head as he walked about the neighborhood, filling him with a comforting warmth. He walked on the sidewalk, passing between freshly mowed lawns. A couple kids riding bicycles passed him across the street. He let out a relaxed sigh. What a crazy, wonderful world he lived in.

The Inbetween
Her small feet finally stopped the young girl looked around at the clearing she was now in. Surrounded by a forest clouded in darkness she looked to the sky. The stars were painted with vibrant orange and blue light so bright the clearing was as day. A crack sounded out from the nearby wood. The girls body froze while her eyes shot toward the sound. Dark scales glistened from the woods as the light of the stars shimmered against them. The girl gasped unsure of what presence lay just beyond the darkness. The scales seemed to fade away then a black cat came strutting into the light.

The sun shone brightest on the morning he was left behind. Far out from the town of Faranth, the last point of civilization before the Whispering Woods encompassed the rest of the region north of Solace Reach. A newly made mother desperate to bring her newborn child to safety. She had been running long before the morning sky appeared, fleeing up and over the mountain steeps that made up the Crisped Tips of legend. Her legs were weak, but her heart remained strong to deliver him as far from their pursuers as possible.
