Some classic stories

Novels are often long, large, complex, with numerous characters and magnificent structures. Short stories are short and vigorous, with concise plots, concentrated characters and delicate structures. The former reflects the author's narrative ambition, while the latter reflects the aesthetics and taste. Now social life abstemious fast, survival pressure is big, very few people can sink heart to chew "big" world classics.

Therefore, I recommend ten domestic and foreign classic short stories. In my spare time, I can spend twenty minutes or even three or five minutes to enjoy the comfort of literary classics and improve my humanistic quality. Well, that's too big a reason. Let's try a smaller one -- to pass the time, to feed a lonely, empty, cold soul.

1 .Kong Yiji -- Lu Xun

LuXun Town floor

Recommended language:

Lu Xun was asked which of the 30 short stories he had written was his favorite. Lu Xun replied that it was Kong Yiji. Kong Yiji is not only Lu Xun's best short story, but also one of the pinnacle of short stories in China and even the world.

This novel, we have learned in the Chinese textbook when junior high school, maybe a lifetime can not fully understand. Kong Yiji is a very full artistic image, in his body concentrated the tragedy of the intellectuals of that time, he reflects the tragedy of an era. "Perhaps Kong Yiji is indeed dead", but there are still countless Kong Yiji alive now and in the future.

When we write or communicate with others, how can we use a prop to show a person who is desperate for face, poor and lazy? Lu Xun only used a long gown, two sentences.

"Kong Yiji was the only one who wore a long gown while drinking standing up."

"It is a long gown, but it is dirty and torn. It seems that it has not been washed for more than ten years."

2.Life is like a harp String -- Shi Tiesheng

Shi Tiesheng in a wheelchair

Recommended language:

The little blind man was the disciple of the old blind man. Masters and apprentices make a living by playing the sanjo and telling stories.

The little blind man fell in love with a beautiful mountain girl and gave her his first kiss. The girl married someone else. The old blind man's master told him on his deathbed that he had a prescription for seeing the world. If he broke a thousand strings, the prescription would let his eyes see the world.

This prescription supported the old blind man for dozens of spring, summer, autumn and winter. The old blind man's only goal in life was to break a thousand strings, see the light, see the mountains and rivers, and see Xiao Fang. After he had broken a thousand strings, the old blind man found that the prescription was nothing but a blank sheet of paper. He found the young blind man who had been lovelorn and said to him, "It was my mistake, twelve hundred. Master, remember, twelve hundred!"

Life is like a harp-string, and though the harp-string is tough, it is also broken. Isn't this our rich and fragile life?

3.Classical Love -- Yu Hua

Yu Hua has a bad temperament

Recommend LANGUAGE: POOR STUDENT LIU Sheng ENTERS Beijing to drive an examination, met unexpectedly rich home young lady Hui in the attic of a mansion. Diaosi counter attack Bai Fumei bridge broken back in Yu Hua's novel. Two fifths of the way through the story, a piece of Yu Hua's violent aesthetics slowly unfolds.

"Childe remember, no matter whether the list has merit or not, please go early and return early." The rest of the plot, could be a horror movie.

Yu Huachang boasts Kawabata Yasunari as a teacher, even the name of the hero and heroine of this story - Yanagi and Hui, are the name of the Japanese street. But the narrative language of this story is very classical Chinese beauty, the plot as always, like a gentle smile emitting blood smell. Under the cruel and magnificent coat, there is a subtle warmth hidden.

4 ."Steps by the River" by Rabindranath Tagore

Recommended language:

First, if the love story of a man and a woman is directly narrated, the plot is inevitably boring. The great poet Rabindranath Tagore took a new twist by telling the story of a woman waiting for her ascetic husband in the voice of river steps. "--" If things were written in stone, you could read many stories of the past on every step of my life. If you want to hear stories of the past, sit down on my steps; As long as you listen to the murmur of the water, you can hear countless moving stories of the past. I still remember a story that happened in the past. That day was just like today."

Second, the dilemma of love and faith, the ascetic is to love his wife, the world peace of both, not the Tathagata not Qing?

Republic of China TV dramas often have such a picture, some people and beauty relationship, will affectionately stare at her, sad way: "how seven feet of body, to Xu, Xu Qing again difficult." Then, put on the pants and walked away, leaving the world with a stubborn figure, continue the revolution with vigor and vitality. This is also the dilemma of love and career.

There are too many dilemmas in life. One day when my head teacher in high school gave us a night study, she looked at her watch and found it was already 22:30. Suddenly she said, "How much I want to spend time with my family." This is also the dilemma.

Life so many dilemmas, still alive what? Please look at the next article.

5 .The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry

A dashing moustache

Recommended language:

People who call themselves literary youths are embarrassed to greet people if they have not heard "O Henry's ending."

O Henry's novels have always been known as "the common sense, the unexpected".

"The Gift of Maggie" is a dramatic story: the heroine Della and her husband James are both poor. They all have the most precious gift of all. When Christmas came, they sold their precious things in order to buy each other a matching gift. And the gifts they had prepared were meaningless.

The young couple were happy, too, because of love. With love, comfort can be found in a society where the gap between the rich and the poor and human relations are cold and warm. No matter how late the husband or wife comes home, in a certain room in the city, there is a light waiting. What are we living for? Boys and girls, talk to someone first.

6. The Man in the Suit by Chekov

The melancholy Chekhov

Reasons for recommendation:

"It is strange of him, even on the sunniest day, to wear his galoshes and umbrella, and be sure to wear a warm cotton-padded overcoat. He always carried his umbrella in a case, and his watch in a grey deerskin case; Even the pencil-sharpener comes in a small case. His face also seems to be covered with a condom, for he always hides it in his turned collar."

We are all Belikov, we are all living in a trap, changing from one trap to another. This cover is shoes car, woman, house...

We can see Belikov's visible condom, but we cannot see the invisible one in our own heart.

7 .y Uncle Hulot by Maupassant

maupassant

Reason: This is another middle school text, ten years ago to learn the text, still benefited a lot.

In terms of writing, it can be called a classic of realistic creation, with two lines of light and dark finally crossing; With language, action, expression depict character psychology, the author described but not Syria. Again, no more references.

The theme of the novel is sad. It reminds me of an old saying in China -- "The poor have no one to ask in the street, while the rich have distant relatives in the mountains." This is ancient, modern, Chinese and foreign, the same place, everywhere is true.

8. Mountains Like White Elephants by Hemingway

Hemingway as a young man

Reasons for recommendation:

Hemingway s often said that his creation is the iceberg theory. Taking "iceberg" as a metaphor, he believed that the author should only describe the part of "iceberg" above the water, and the part under the water should be supplemented by the prompts of the text for readers to imagine. -- "The movement of an iceberg is magnificent because only one eighth of it is above water."

"Mountains Like White Elephants" is a masterpiece of Hemingway's short stories, which are so simple that they don't use an adjective. Men and women in each sentence, can let a person have many kinds of conjecture.

Hemingway was the best writer who could hide his feelings behind his words. To be precise, the words in "Mountains Like White Elephants" account for only one eighth of the novel, and the other seven eighths are the feelings hidden behind the words.

It's very tiring, but the text has a lot of tension.

9.In the Bamboo Forest by Ryunosuke Akutagawa

Ryunosuke Akutagawa

The darkness of human nature is the most terrible thing in the world, and this is the truth of Rashomon. "In the Bamboo Forest" is one of my favorites from Rashomon, a collection of short stories by Akutagawa Ryunosuke. It's creepy to think that I've seen it a dozen times over the years and still haven't identified the killer.

Whether it's Tagamaru, the woman, the warrior, or the woodcutter, whose story is closest to the truth?

This way of writing, I call it "look at the ridge side into a peak." Jin Yong's Flying Fox in the Snowy Mountains copied Rashomon. Okay, I was wrong. It's a nod to a classic.

10. A Piece of Steak by Jack London

American Beautiful Man

Reasons for recommendation:

Jack London was the first American author I read as an adult, the gold miner in Love of Life who struggled against the odds with his will to survive. "Martin Eden" in love with Bai Fumei, a writer's dream, see through the nature of capitalism, no love, despair suicide aquatic; In White Teeth and The Call of the Wild, wolves and dogs merge into each other.

Jack London is deeply influenced by Nietzsche's philosophy of Superman. Whether he is a beast, there is a sweat of manly taste between his lines. In Jack London's pen, beasts, wasteland, hunger, tsunami, villains don't be afraid, the power of life instinct will let you overcome them.

"A Piece of Steak" is an exception. Tom King, a middle-aged, impoverished boxer, can't beat a young, strong opponent, can't win a fight, can't pay the rent, can't feed his wife and kids.It is: the back wave of the Yangtze River pushes the front wave, and the front wave dies on the beach.
