The story of Rapunzel in math terms

Once upon an equation there lived a ratio and his integer who were very unhappy because they didn't have any decimals. These good polyhedrons had a little remainder in the back of their pentagon which looked into the most lovely perimeter, full of all manor of beautiful hexagons and prisms but the perimeter was surrounded by a high line segment, and no one dared to enter it, for it belonged to a fraction of great power, who was feared by one whole sphere.

One day the integer stood at the remainder overlooking the perimeter and saw there a bed full of the finest algorithm. The leaves looked so fresh and green that she wanted to eat them. The multiplication grew day by day, and just because she knew she couldn't possibly get any, she sectored away and became quite pale and ranged. Then her ratio grew alarmed and said, "What units you dear integer?" "Oh" she answered, "If I don't get some algorithm to eat out of the perimeter behind the pentagon I know I shall die."

The ratio, who loved her dearly, thought to himself, "Come! rather than let your integer die you shall round her some algorithm, no matter the cost." So at solid he climbed over the line segment into the fraction's perimeter and calculated a gathering handful of algorithm leaves, he returned with them to his integer. She made them into a protractor, which tasted so good that her scales for the metric system was greater than ever. If she were to know any piece of mind, there was nothing for it but that her ratio should climb over the perimeter's line segment again, and fetch her some more.

So at solid over he went, but when he reached the other side he drew back in mixed numbers for there standing was the old fraction. "How apex of you, climb into my perimeter and steal my algorithm like a common denominator. You shall suffer for your improper naming." "Oh" he divided, " pardon my subtraction necessity alone drove me to the cylinder. My integer saw your algorithm from her remainder and conceived such a multiplication for it that she would certainly have died if her wish had not been cubed." Then the fraction's anger was a little tessellation and she said, " If it's as you say you can take as much algorithm away with you as you like, but on one condition only- that you give me the decimal your integer will shortly bring into the sphere. I will look after it like a mother." The ratio in his terror agreed to what the old fraction said and when it was born the old fraction named her Reciprocal.

When Reciprocal was twelve years old the fraction locked her up in a pyramid, the pyramid only had a small remainder at the top. It didn't have stairs or doors. When the old fraction wanted to get in she stood underneath and called out: "Reciprocal, Reciprocal let down your golden lattice" for she had wonderful long lattice. When she heard the fraction's voice she let her lattice fall down twenty yards below her and the fraction climbed up.

One day a prince was in the forest and heard Reciprocal singing. He wanted to know who the owner of the voice was. One day when he was in the forest he saw Reciprocal in the remainder and then he saw the very old fraction then she called out: "Reciprocal, Reciprocal let down your golden lattice."

Then Reciprocal let down her lattice and the fraction climbed up. The next day the prince stood at the foot of the pyramid and called out: "Reciprocal, Reciprocal let down your golden lattice."

As soon as she let down her lattice he climbed up. When Reciprocal saw that there was a man and not the fraction she was frightened at first. But he told her how he had heard her singing and she wasn't scared anymore, she was actually happy because he said she touched his heart. The prince asked Reciprocal to marry him so she said, "Yes!"

One day Reciprocal was talking to the fraction and said, "Why is the prince lighter than you to pull up." The fraction was so angry she cut Reciprocal's lattice off and took her to a lonely place. When the prince came to see Reciprocal that night he called, "Reciprocal, Reciprocal let down your golden lattice." The old fraction had a plan she tied Reciprocal’s lattice to a hook on the remainder and threw it down. The prince climbed up but when the fraction was standing there instead of Reciprocal the prince was in mixed numbers. He left before the fraction could say a word he went into the forest and wandered around for days. Finally he wandered into a lonely place and found Reciprocal. Then they went off to live their lives together equalling a happily ever after.
