"I know you, that's what I said to him. It was that moment when you have this clarity and confusion all that the same time." Victoria paused as she looked off into the distance. The room had gotten colder and she wasn't sure of anything anymore. 'What if it is the shadow men controlling the temperature?' she thought to herself.

The aide pressed the pause button on the camera and walked around it to face Victoria. Her stride was slow and cautious. She rubbed her arms with his hands and bounced up and down a bit before speaking. "Listen, hun, I think we are going to have to pause here for today. It is pretty chilly in this room. We can come back tomorrow morning."

Victoria nodded her understanding. She knew this wasn't a request and as a patient, she was just thankful to have this time with the aide to record her thoughts. "It is cold, do you know what the temperature is now?" she asked.

"Let me check," the aide said and walked over to the thermostat, "Shit!" she said loudly before covering her mouth with her hands. She turned slightly towards Victoria and let her hands fall to her side. "It's 66 degrees. I think we are good with stopping here for today, let them fix this and we can try again tomorrow,"

Victoria stood from her wooden chair. It scraped against the ground as she rose and created a scrapping sound that caught them both off guard. "oops, sorry!" she said. Her cheeks blushed from embarrassment. "May I ask you something?" she asked the aide.

"Sure,"

"What's your name?" Victoria asked cautiously. She realized that she had been in this room with this person all day and never once thought to ask her name before. The aid blushed. "It's Monique,"

"Monique, what a lovely name. It is a pleasure to meet you, thank you for doing this, by the way, it means a lot to me," She said smiling at Monique.

"I am just doing my job," Monique replied as she led Victoria out of the white room. The corridor was also white and the hallway was narrow. There were so many doors Victoria was unsure if she would know how to find her room without Monique to guide her.

"Take a right here" Monique instructed and Victoria turned right. She noted the open doors and the closed ones. She saw people tied down in beds in some rooms. In one room, there was an old woman sitting in a rocking chair knitting something. In another room, there was a man yelling at his window.

Room by room, she couldn't help but gaze a peek inside of the other patient's world. As she walked past the rooms she started to notice something she hadn't noticed initially. She noticed that in the rooms where there was an upset patient there was also a shadow man. Her eyes went wide when she passed by one room where the man had thrown himself on the ground and was kicking and screaming like a toddler. He was screaming "I don't want to go! I don't want to go and you can't take me!"

"Wait," Victoria said as she stopped dead in her tracks and stared at the man to see if she could see who he was talking to.

"Why are you stopping?" Monique asked with irritation in her tone.

"This man, he needs help," Victoria replied still trying to look deeper into his room.

"I'll call someone, there's nothing for you to see. Let's keep moving,"

Monique pressed against her back gently to motion her to keep moving forward. Victoria stretched her neck out just enough to make out a pair of red eyes in the corner of the man's room.

"It's here. The red eyes. This man needs help. He is going to die!" Victoria screamed out as panic filled her. She knew that no one would believe her. This wasn't the first time this had happened but she couldn't stand by and not do anything she had to try to save him.

"If you don't calm down I am going to have to give you something to calm you down and our session tomorrow will be canceled," Monique said more firmly than she had before. Her patience was wearing thin and she wanted to be done with this patient for the day.

"You don't understand!" Victoria pleaded. She wanted to save the man and she was desperate to find a way to help him. "If I call someone now to check on him will you be quiet?"

"Yes, I promise," Victoria replied. She found herself feeling hopeful that something good would come of this revelation. Maybe it was possible to beat the red eyes. 'If I can save this man, maybe there is hope for me,' she thought to herself as she smiled while she watched Monique pull out her cell phone and call someone.

"Yeah, can you check on room 210 please, the patient here has thrown himself on the floor and is upsetting the other patients." she paused while she listened to the voice on the other side. "Yes, that sounds great. Thanks for that, alright, see you later."

She put the phone back into her pocket and turned towards Victoria. "All sorted, let's go!" she said and as she turned to head back towards Victoria's room the man let out a loud roar. She turned back towards the room and saw him clenching his chest. "Oh my god! I think he's having a heart attack!"
