I must have fallen asleep, for I didn’t hear the demon enter the room. The devil just appeared out of nowhere and stared at me.

I tried to scream as loud as possible, but no sound came out. It was like a dream, and I had no voice whatsoever. So, I tried to get out of bed and run but could not move. Suddenly, I was a wooden puppet with cut strings. Completely immobile.

The demon saw me and knew I was trying to escape. The monster started advancing on me. The nightmare came nearer with each breath I took.

Finally, freeing my hand, I pinched myself to wake myself up. It hurt but must not hurt enough to wake me from this nightmare vision. Because the demon was still there,

and

he

kept

coming.

So, I slapped myself so hard I bloodied my nose. I knew now that I wasn’t asleep. The demon became so enraged by the smell of my blood that it was frothing at the mouth

and

he

kept

coming.

At this point, I knew I would be a goner, so I began to pray. I begged for salvation. I begged for a hero. I begged for a way out.

But my prayers were to be unanswered. For the demon was mere feet from my bed.

and

he

kept

coming.

Suddenly the demon grabbed me, opened his ever-widening mouth, and sucked me down to hell alongside him.
