Once upon a time in the land of the gathering place…

There was a girl, named Hangryetta. She was not aware that she missing her “aloha”. It was a terribly busy week filled with meetings, homework, and a timely home fixer upper. She stomped around the hale (house) as if she was a dragon. She hardly said two words while dropping each keiki (child) off at school. At work she was the same. No mahalo (thank you) or great job to anyone or from anyone. The morale seems to be down everywhere she went. When each keiki (child) was ready to be picked up from school, no smiles, or greetings, just grumpy responses too. Hangryetta remembered she forgot to eat breakfast and she worked through her lunch. Is this why she is so irritable and feeling drained. Oh no! Herself and her family were missing the aloha spirit! In all her busy responsibilities she forgot to take something out for dinner. What will the family eat?

The Solution

It was the perfect time to call in an order from Smokin’ Wings & Southern Things, and have it delivered. With the renovations going on at the house she could order food for the next few days and would not have to worry about cooking any dinner after a long day of work. The family of five could not be more thrilled to have signature chicken wings, famous mac & cheese, outstanding collard greens and golden soft cornbread delivered to their door.

The Aloha Cycle

The next day Hangryetta came back to work and noticed her co-workers were in an irritable mood again. She ordered in breakfast burritos, catfish, and grits plates for everyone. Every-co worker was more cheerful and motivated throughout the day. All the employees enjoyed breakfast so much they wanted to know could they order lunch for everybody tomorrow from this amazing Kingdom Kitchen. Surely, this team of chefs have cooked for celebrities and royalty over many moons. Hangryetta did find out on their instagram kingdomkitchen808, that they do make catering deliveries across the island. One co-worker said their neighbor orders from them all the time because of the Loco Moco and oxtail specialties. Another co-worker said that he had ten of each pineapple habanero and sweet heat chicken wings. The sauces are secret family recipes. Both sets of wings made tears come out of your eyes because it was sooo good. All this talk story of mouthwatering deliciousness made their boss order the succulent salmon for lunch. Later he ordered again. This time, the irresistible ribs for family and friends game night. The “aloha” has been found again! They all lived aloha ever after!

In Closing Remarks

Aloha is the gift that keeps on giving. It is not just hello or goodbye, but the grace, kindness, and compassion we show each other on a daily basis. Every plate you order is greeted with “aloha” at Smokin’ Wings & Southern Things. Since September 2014 the Oahu owners and staff love and care for the people’s needs first. Comfort food made fresh daily to fulfill every taste bud desire. Genuine hospitality will be discovered here. They will take care of you because they honor you! You will not regret this food experience. Remember, if it’s smokin’, it’s a must eat and repeat. It was no mystery Hangryetta is me, you, an auntie, little cousin, and our neighbors. We are all Hangryetta sometimes and we get pulled in various directions. It’s ok, help is on the way!

This S.m.o.k.i.n’ location means to me: Satisfaction, Movement, Outstanding, Kindred, Intrigue, and Nobility. All the many ways to have aloha, we just added another to the list, and its Smokin’ Wings & Southern Things Of Hawaii!
