Some people might say to never trust a skinny chef, but that's really not being fair to the chef. It's possible to enjoy food and stay healthy. Food can be your full-time job, but that doesn't mean you have to let yourself go. With the right balance, you can be an expert food blogger, and still manage your weight. Here are some suggestions.

1. Watch the Nutrition

If you're going to blog about food, doesn't it make sense to blog about food that is nutritious? That doesn't mean you have to go without dessert, but taking the opportunity to blog about food while also educating regarding nutrition is socially responsible. It's a lot like being earth-friendly, except you're being body-friendly.

Nutritious meals do not equal a boring meal. Every good cook knows this is true. So, why dress up good food with empty calories?

If you've been enjoying food for a while and are just now starting to consider the benefits of healthy eating, you can get some help with the extra weight. The Thrive Patch can help you achieve your goals, and best of all it utilizes natural ingredients.

2. Share What You Cook

If you enjoy cooking, chances are you often cook too much. Having too much food can make you feel pressured to eat it all before it goes bad. If you find yourself with more food than you can reasonably consume, why not share it?

You have family, friends, and neighbors who would love to enjoy a treat from you now and then. It's also a great way to promote your blog. If they enjoy what you cooked, ask them to share their experience and a link to your blog on social media.

3. Stay Fit or Get Fit

Whether you're a food blogger or not, everyone needs to stay fit. A fit body equals longevity of life. Those hours you stay sedentary aren't good for you.

Experts recommend a combination of cardio and strength training. You don't have to overdo either. Aim to get your heart pumping for at least 20 minutes each day, and gradually work up to 30. A few times a week, spend some time building the muscle in your arms, legs, and stomach. You don't have to spend a lot of time on strength training, but the time you do spend will be a gift that keeps giving, as building muscle burns continues to burn calories long after you've finished your workout.

4. Limit Alcohol

There's nothing wrong with enjoying a glass of wine with a scrumptious meal, but you should limit your alcohol intake. Not only is drinking in excess bad for nearly every system in your body, it's also high in calories. Enjoy a drink, but restrict yourself to one night a week and no more than one or two glasses.

5. View It As a Lifestyle

This may be the easiest recommendation on this list. For you, it's likely food blogging is a passion. You enjoy doing it more than anything else, including your day job. If you view it as a lifestyle, then it's easy to make the recommended changes mentioned above.

You want to share your dishes with the world, but you also want to be healthy while you do it, because when you're healthy you feel your best. Just as a model must tend to his or her beauty, a food blogger should tend to their nutrition and health. After all, the two are closely related.

Your food blog can be more than just food. Document and share your transformation with others who are looking to do the same. Your blog can have many layers, and your fans will enjoy getting to know the real you. Have fun with your food blog as it evolves. Who knows, maybe someday the investment of your time will pay off and this fun little endeavor can actually become your full-time job. How do you think others got discovered?
