Soup Shack in Brookline

When it comes to food and cultural diversity we are no strangers to that in Boston. Our restaurant scene can easily be compared to the likes of any top food location, domestic and international. This is not up for debate by the way which leads us into the uniqueness of Asian cuisine. For example there are many selections of delicious appetizers and meals if you were to mention Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese eats.

What's that? You're a fan of all three huh? Well you're in luck if you have a chance to visit the Soup Shack in Brookline, Massachusetts. For those who are unaware, Brookline is a neighboring suburb of Boston just within the shadows of Fenway Park.

The Soup Shack also has two other locations in the greater Boston Area although this is the latest addition to the chain. Fairly new as the location opened back in the fall of 2019 the Soup Shack in Brookline takes pride in quality service, fantastic food, and ambiance. The place is definitely a vibe especially if you choose to come here for a date, a business lunch or dinner, or if you're just starving and in the mood for pho, ramen, or a hefty rice bowl!

Don't worry, if you'd like to let your hair down a bit there are grown up beverages available with a broad selection of sake, wine, and beer.

Sake is their staple when it comes to drinks.

A few recommendations when it comes to the appetizers are two of my personal favorites. One is a Roasted Duck Steamed Bun which is topped with cucumber, scallions, pickled onions, and hoisin and mayo sauce.

The next happens to be the Chicken Karaage!

It's five juicy pieces of Japanese style fried chicken nuggets served with a spicy katsu mayo. If you're a somebody who can stand a bit more heat you can also add some Sriracha sauce to get all those flavors going.

On a chillier harsh New England day you can never go wrong with any bowl of pho or Thai Noodle Soup. You will leave very satisfied and nourished looking forward to a future visit.

A personal favorite of mine when your stomach is no longer asking but telling is the Grilled Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl. Served over Japanese white rice , pickled veggies, sprinkled with scallions and sesame seeds. If you want the full experience dab a little bit of Vietnamese fish sauce over the rice and veggies. Every meal also comes with a small broth bowl with scallions.

The Soup Shack also offers take out as well through various online delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, Door Dash, and Grubhub, etc but that's only recommended if you're a regular and you probably have a lot of work to do.

Or you just wanna Netflix and Chill.

If it's your first time visiting, there is no doubt that you should be getting the full dine in experience. The bar top table on the window are the best seats in the house if you like to eat and people watch while enjoying a tasty meal and drink. Also if you love taking pictures or selfies they have a signature logo of a bowl of ramen painted on a brick wall. Don't forget to tag them on Instagram and Facebook.

The dish I've been saving for a future visit is the Spicy Miso Beef Ramen. Beef personally is considered a celebratory meat so there is always something to look forward to!

Any place that offers good eats and relaxation with an upbeat atmosphere is a place you can spend a good amount of time. And if you spend it with great company it's even better!
