Recipes for dishes that are simple to make
Having an easy-to-do recipe in a busy lifestyle is perfect for people who do not have time to cook up a five-course meal for dinner. Here are a few recipes that will not take hours of your time, but is easy, and will satisfy your hunger appetite.
Cheesy rice and vegetable recipe (or lean cheesy rice and vegetable recipe)
Ingredients
- 1 pound of meat or ground meat or (turkey meat)
- 1 pound of pork sausage
- 2 cups of cooked rice
- 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese (2 cups of fat free cheddar cheese)
- 1 can of corn
- 1 can of green beans (1 cup of frozen green beans)
- 1/2 cup of chopped onions (1 cup of frozen corn)
- 1/2 cup of water
- Salt (of your desired taste) a pinch of pepper
- Season All (of your desired taste)
Directions
Prepare: Scramble ground meat and onions together. (Or turkey meat and onions), drain, and set aside. Scramble pork sausage and set aside. Cook rice (minute rice can be cooked in minutes in a microwave). Set aside.
On a stovetop, add a large saucepan. In the saucepan add ground meat onion mixture and pork sausage. (Or turkey meat onion mixture and pork sausage). Add rice, corn, green beans, water, salt, pepper, season all, and cheese. Cook on stovetop and cover for 25 minutes and stir occasionally. If using frozen vegetables, cook on stove until the vegetables are completely cooked.
This is usually a stand-alone dish, but you may add a garden salad if you wish.
Chicken and Rice
- 2 cans of canned chicken breast or 2 cups of shredded cooked chicken
- 2 cups of cooked rice
- 1 can of cream of chicken
- 1 tablespoon of celery salt
- 1 tablespoon of onion powder
- 1 cup of water
- Salt (to your desired taste) and a pinch of pepper
Directions
Cook 2 cups of rice (Minute Rice can be cooked in minutes in the microwave.
On the stovetop, add a large saucepan. In your saucepan add your chicken, cooked rice, cream of chicken, water, celery salt, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
Cook and let simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Turn off heat and serve when desired.
This dish would be great with saltine crackers, desired garden salad, or fresh cooked broccoli.
Green Chile Chicken Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 12.5 ounces of canned chicken breast or 2 cups of cooked chicken
- 1 cup of Monetary Jack Cheese
- 1 cup of Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 can of green Chile
- 2 cans of 10 ounces of enchilada sauce
- 2 cups of corn tortillas
- Salt (desired to your taste) and a pinch of pepper
- Season all (desired to your taste)
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl add chicken, chiles, 1 cup of monetary jack cheese, 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, 1 can of enchilada sauce. Mix. Add salt, pepper, and season all. (Season to your desired taste)
In a baking dish spray desired Pam, or vegetable oil on the bottom and sides.
Spread a small mixture to cover the entire baking dish.
Tear up the corn tortillas in fours, or however you would like. Tear enough to cover the chicken mixture.
Repeat the entire process, until the chicken mixture is gone. Pour the other enchilada sauce into a small bowl, and season salt, pepper, and season all to your specific taste.
Pour that sauce on the top of the entire casserole dish. Add extra desired cheese on top.
Bake casserole in the oven for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Take casserole out of oven and serve when desired.
This dish would be great with tortilla chips, or a delicious garden salad.
