Cafe Conti Full Menu, Prices, and an Honest Verdict

Aesthetic flatlays and a continental hotel breakfast concept have drawn crowds to this new weekend-only cafe, but polarising reviews and steep prices leave diners divided.

From the founders of Manisan Dessert Club comes a new offering with a continental hotel breakfast concept, grabbing some attention on social media with beautiful flatlays. If you look at Google Reviews, it really is a polarizing one, with a lot of reviews on the more extreme end of the scale, 1 and 5 stars. Here's what I thought on my visit!

I want to give one caveat: this is a new concept and they've already changed certain elements in the menu once previously, so just note that I highly suspect that they will continue to take feedback and improve on their weekend breakfast offering. This visit was on the 25th of July 2026.

Location and Access

Cafe Conti is nestled over in Section 17 in the row of shops including Uroko and Decanter. A few good things about this spot is that parking is relatively easy and free. The only challenge that you will perhaps have would be in finding the restaurant itself. You will need to head to the opening on the right side of Lavaa Restobar and head one floor up. You will need to ring their doorbell for service. Note: your whole party must be there for you to be seated, so this isn't one of those spots that I'd recommend if a few of you are coming separately and meeting here.

They have a no-laptop policy and in reviews there is some feedback that they might get a bit busy at some hours, but not something that I particularly experienced on my visit here. Just note: there is a communal seating concept here, so you might sit side by side with some other people. Not a big concern for me, but just in case that is something that bothers you.

The address is 25-1, Jalan 17/56, Seksyen 17, 46400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Operating hours are weekends only from 8am to 1 pm, with last entry at 12 noon.

Halal-Friendly Status

This is in the category of halal-friendly. Manisan Dessert Club does serve up alcohol within its menu, but the ingredients for Cafe Conti are sourced from halal suppliers. As always, do check in with the team if this is something you're concerned about. For most diners, the menu should be accessible, but it's always best to confirm if you have specific dietary requirements.

The Menu and Pricing

The very obvious place where a lot of people will complain about, in my opinion, is the pricing. Because the pricing is probably not quite right especially for long-term sustainability. I think the novelty of being a new cafe is keeping it busy at the moment, but the way I see it, it is very difficult to keep regulars and even decent reviews at the current prices that they are offering. As I said, I don't see it as a major food issue; it is a clear value proposition issue.

Here's a breakdown of what I had:

  • English Breakfast | RM40

  • French Toast with Compote | RM26

  • Iced Coffee | RM11

  • Total | RM77

All charges are tax-inclusive already, but as I mentioned, I think just RM40 for an English Breakfast is really steep. My benchmark in general is Oomph for RM33, and I think that if you compare it directly like this, I can't really justify this at a RM40 price point. On my visit, the pancakes had run out, and my look through of the reviews seems to indicate that the idea is that you want to come earlier in order to have a full choice of their menu given it isn't a big menu at this moment in time. Just note, they have changed their menu it was initially a mix-and-match breakfast concept and they've also removed the crabby eggs benedict from the menu.

How It Tastes

I'll echo the sentiment from above and just highlight: the food is actually decent. Lacks a bit of customization in the English Breakfast usually you get a choice of eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, etc.) and at RM40 that would kind of be what I'd expect. Their Big Breakfast consists of 2 chicken sausages, 2 sunny side up eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, homemade hashbrowns, and white toast. I think overall, it is a good rendition of a classic continental English breakfast. The hashbrowns are thick and crispy. I would say it is a unique rendition of a hashbrown for sure. But as again, it comes back to value and the fact that it's really hard to justify this for RM40.

It's a similar story with the French toast, although I would say that I do like their compote as it is something that goes well with the French toast. The French toast is fluffy and fragrant and it really looks aesthetic on a plate. Whether I would come again for it is probably a no, the reason being once again the price tag. Just really hard to justify RM26 for this offering among all the other KL and PJ cafes.

Their batch brew iced coffee is pretty tasty. Definitely on the more fruity side, and they get it from Simple Matter Coffee Co. So something that coffee enjoyers can definitely indulge in. The coffee is well-brewed and offers a refreshing contrast to the richer breakfast items.

Star Rating

5/10. My story about Cafe Conti is simple. Very aesthetic, very nice concept. I like the fact that you fill the menu in almost room service style, and even the space is quite a nice and relaxing place. The communal seating concept, while not for everyone, adds to the unique atmosphere. What drags down the review is definitely the price, and the food is probably nothing extraordinary that I would write home about.

The Verdict

Cafe Conti is a beautiful space with a promising concept, but it struggles to deliver on value. The aesthetics are undeniable, and the food is decent, but the pricing is hard to justify when compared to other breakfast spots in the Klang Valley. The weekend-only opening hours add to the exclusivity but also limit accessibility for those who might want to try it on a weekday.

The founders have shown a willingness to adapt by changing the menu based on feedback, which is encouraging. However, until the pricing and value proposition align more closely with customer expectations, it may continue to be a polarizing destination. For now, it's a place to visit for the experience and the aesthetic, but not necessarily for the value or the food alone.
