Bosscat Kitchen & Libations in Newport Beach is the perfect place to brunch like a boss! A whiskey bar with a menu full of Southern elements to pair with. In 2019 Bosscat Kitchen & Libations was awarded, "Best Brunch in OC" by the Golden Foodie Awards. While lines around Bosscat every Sunday morning are all the proof we need regarding its brunch devotion -- the comfort food with exciting new twists and personable hospitality is what keeps customers coming back for more. With a very unique menu serving from sweet to savory, creative creations by Chef Peter Petro combines good ol' American comfort food with contemporary flavors and cooking techniques. Their exciting brunch menu has gems such as The Fruity Pebble French Toast, Nutella S'mores Pancake, The Donut Burger, and many more! All creations are well thought out with a personal touch to each dish. For example, the Nutella S'mores Pancake was born from Chef Petro's childhood memory of being on the beach at night making s' mores by the fire. It's made with a sweet cream pancake batter with a gram cracker sauce, some Nutella maple syrup, topped with toasted marshmallows torched to perfection. Another innovative dish offered is The Donut Burger, which is a beef patty, cheese, bacon, an over-easy fried egg, all in a donut -- how could you go wrong?! People have driven for hours to come and try the famous brunch dish, The Fruity Pebbles French Toast and anyone who orders this dish is guaranteed to have some crazy brunch content to add to their feed. Instead of simple maple syrup, Chef Petro wanted to find a more creative way to serve french toast all while showcasing Fruitty Pebble's fantastic colors by using sweet condensed milk. This dish is also topped off with bacon bits to give you a taste of both savory and sweet all in one bite. Lastly garnished with some fresh berries to really bring the experience full circle. 

Aside from being the brunch haven to many in OC, Bosscat is known for its rather large whiskey collection. The Bosscat Kitchen's goal is to bring a robust range of whiskey's spanning flavor profiles, distillery techniques, from regions around all over the world. They have about 350 different whiskeys in their private whiskey room where you can schedule a private tour upon request. With the wide range of specialized whiskey from Ireland to Japan, there is something for everyone to try. In light of recent events during these challenging times, Bosscat has found countless ways to keep spirits (figuratively and literally) alive while staying alive as a small business. Since then Bosscat has been closed for dine-in service until further notice but despite the current level of fear and uncertainty, they have resorted to offering direct call-in takeout orders/delivery via 3rd party platforms. All direct calls for take out orders are given 20% off their bill as a way to encourage the community to #stayhome with a level of normalcy in still participating in brunch in the comfort of their own homes. The hustle of Bosscat does not stop there -- they also offer grocery packages with essential supplies during the COVID-19 quarantine. Uncooked meals delivered to your home or available for pick up, all made easy for guests to avoid making a trip to the grocery store for a great home-cooked meal. Bosscat has always been there for me when I am in need of an exotic cocktail or comforting meal, especially in times of celebration -- so I want to be there for Bosscat when help is needed as well.
