Spaghetti bolognese quick recipe. Bolognese sauce (ragù alla bolognese) is a sauce originating from the north of Italy, from the city of Bologna. I think it is the most popular Italian sauce and accompanies spaghetti, lasagna or other types of pasta. It is generally prepared from minced beef, onions and carrots and tomato juice.

Pasta recipes, in general, are considered real calorie bombs, but this is not necessarily true. For example, 100 grams of bolognese pasta have approximately 120 calories.

Obviously, calorie intake differs by portion size. So, we can fully enjoy the absolutely delicious taste of pasta and accompanying sauces, as long as we don't overdo it. In addition, these pastas have proteins, fibers, beneficial for the body. The nutritional intake will be all the more valuable if we choose wholegrain pasta instead of regular pasta.

Ingredients

  • 300 g of spaghetti
  • 400 g minced beef or beef-pork mixture
  • 300 ml tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1-2 bell peppers
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • Bay leaves
  • rosemary
  • thyme
  • salt

To serve

  • Parmesan
  • basil

Method of preparation

  • The spaghetti Bolognese recipe begins with the preparation of the sauce that will give flavor to the entire dish. It won't be anything very complicated, so the recipe is simple.
  • In a special robot that grinds, put the onion, carrot and garlic to start making the mixture for the Bolognese sauce. After you have chopped them, take a pan, put it on the fire, add the oil, then the vegetables. Season with salt and mix well, until the onion and carrot have softened.
  • Next, introduce into this Bolognese sauce: bay leaves, pepper, rosemary and thyme. Homogenize everything as well as possible, then add the meat to the pan. It can only be beef or you can use a mixture of beef and pork. For the success of this bolognese pasta, the simple and quick recipe, sear the meat well, until you notice that it has changed color.
  • In the continuation of this Bolognese pasta recipe, add the tomato juice to the saucepan. You introduce it all at once and mix very well. Now is the time to add 2 cups of water, to get a perfect ragu sauce for pasta.
  • Taste the dish and see if it still needs seasoning. If so, add what you think is still missing, in order to have delicious spaghetti Bolognese at the end, then leave it on a low heat, to boil for about 60 minutes. The longer you leave it, the more delicious it will be.
  • Since it is a pasta recipe, you must also prepare these ingredients. In a pot, when boiling, add a little salt, and when the water boils, add the pasta. You can leave them to cook as long as you like. Some people want spaghetti, with minced meat, well done, others prefer more al dente versions when we talk about any pasta, recipes with or without ragu sauce.
  • At the end, after the pasta has boiled, quickly run it under a stream of cold water, then place it on plates, and add the bolognese pasta sauce over them. If you want, you can optionally put parmesan and/or basil on top.

What do you do if you have extra bolognese sauce?

This bolognese pasta sauce can also be frozen, in case you want to make a larger quantity and use it later. At the same time, it can also be stored in jars, proceeding in the same way as any preserves you make for the winter. It also goes very well with lasagna, eggplant/potato moussaka, peas and other dishes.
