Avocado is a plant that grows just like a regular tree. Except an avocado produces fruits also called avocado; like the tree. These are so healthy for your body. I had to make a post to let you know about their incredible health benefits!

These butter fruits, as they are also called, are botanically berries (no kidding!). They contain a single seed, have high-fat content and are still considered to be one of the healthiest fruits to add to your meals. Their high fat and fibre content make them so unique as they can either make you gain or lose weight.

How incredible!

Avocados contain over twenty vitamins, have an abundance of fibres and the fat they offer is "healthy" fat.

The health benefits of avocado are priceless. While other fruits are mainly rich in carbohydrates, avocados are high in healthy fat. You might wonder why they're so good if they contain high-fat content. Well, you should know that the type of fat avocados possesses is known as monounsaturated fats. Fats or oils gotten from an avocado contain linoleic and oleic acids. They're the 'new' healthy fats recommended by dieticians as they help control your cholesterol level, reduce blood pressure and are anti-inflammatory. That's right; they help control the dreaded acne and such.

This unique fruit contains monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat. They're both needed by the body to function.

Polyunsaturated fats cannot be gotten from your body but are pretty necessary to it. Therefore, your body has to get them from other sources. And an Avocado is creamily, deliciously rich in these.

This kind of fat is not the same as saturated or trans-fat. These are the kinds that can help decrease the chances of you getting a heart disease or other health-related issues.

Monounsaturated fats are also very essential to the body. They get solidified when they're chilled but are liquids at room temperature. These healthy fats are so beneficial to your body; they help reduce the risks of getting heart diseases, inflammation, etc.

Want to know how beneficial avocados are, here are some of the health benefits:

1. Avocados Contain So Many Nutrients

At this point, you may already be catching on how nutritious avocados are to your health. I mean, even the amount of calories contained in this fruit is more than the ones contained in any other fruit. In fact, one study showed that these one-seeded fruits are so beneficial to your health that they can help regulate your appetite. The fat contained in avocados can make you feel satisfied.

Did you know that avocados were once eaten as a delicacy? They have a light flavour, a velvety taste and a creamy consistency that they were once eaten as a delicacy and are still used in tasty dishes today!

2. Avocados help With Your Digestion.

Being fibre-packed, avocados help enhance digestion. Not just that, they also help prevent constipation and boost the health of your colon. As fibre increases the bulk of your stool, it makes it easier for you to do your business. They're like the go-to natural remedy for constipation. Add them to your diet today!

3. They help Regulate Your Blood Pressure.

Avocados are high in potassium while having low Sodium content. This is very beneficial to your health as it helps to stabilise your blood pressure. Hence, reducing your risk of having a heart attack. Since they are also rich in antioxidants, the risk of having a stroke is reduced, so your heart stays healthy. Take avocados regularly to safeguard your heart!

4. They Help Your Eyes.

Avocados contain some nutrients which are really good for your eyes. This help improves your eyesight, reduce damages from harsh lights, and maintain a good night vision.

Eating avocados will help improve your eyesight even until old age! This is because of the high amount of vitamin A contained in this creamy fruit. Remember to add a slice of this fleshy, buttery delicacy to your next meal for supervision!

5. They Can Help With Your Weight Loss Journey

When you hear or think of the word "Keto", what first comes to mind? If it isn't 'avocados', then you're just not ketogenic at all! You don't think so, google the word up!

Avocados are like the celebrity meals of ketogenians...ketogenies..whatever Ketogenic lovers are called, lol.

Because of their low-carb, high-fat content, avocados are one of the main courses in a weight loss meal plan! They fill you up in a few morsels, letting you eat less but gain all the required nutrients. What's more, they add their 'good fat' in your 'right' places! Wink!

6. They Literally Lock Up Your Depression

Avocados contain high levels of folate. These are like the prison guard of your depression.

They obstruct the increase or spread of a substance known as Homocysteine. This is the substance responsible for your depression; therefore, as avocados are highly rich in folate, they block these substances and consequently keep your depression at bay. So, whenever you feel depressed and feel like comfort eating, the absolute best comfort food is avocados. Stuff your face in this!

7. They Help You Absorb More Nutrients

Interestingly, there are some nutrients which require a combination with fats to be absorbed by your body! How petty of them! They are known as fat-soluble nutrients. These nutrients tell us that digestion doesn't just end in the food intake; your body needs to be able to absorb them to be used.

Nutrients like Vitamin A, D, E and K are better consumed by your body when they're mixed with fats. Avocados help them do this.

8. Avocados make people stay healthy.

Given all the points listed above, you can not help but agree with me that avocados generally make you healthier.

People who eat avocados, get to absorb more nutrients, weigh less, have fewer bowel issues and a host of other benefits. So, if you are still sceptical about adding avocados to your diet, do not be! Health is wealth.

Improve your health by eating an avocado today!
