When was Jesus born?
There are several theories regarding the exact date of Jesus’ birth. According to Jewish tradition, Jesus was born in the fall of 4 BC. This date is based on the story of the wise men visiting the manger in Bethlehem, as recounted in the Gospel of Matthew. Another theory suggests that Jesus was born in the spring of 6 BC, which would fit with the Roman census that is mentioned in the Gospel of Luke. Other theories propose a variety of dates, ranging from 7 BC to 1 AD. Ultimately, the exact date of Jesus’ birth is unknown. What is known, however, is that the birth of Jesus was a momentous event that has been celebrated for thousands of years.

My parents fall within the Boomers II category. Side note: I feel uncomfortable putting people into categories. Regardless, as a child of the 70's, I'm aware of some of the limiting beliefs of that generation...I mean, they raised me. They raised a lot of us. They also kinda raised themselves to some degree because, well, in the midwest, there are just certain things you don't talk about. Having sex is definitely one of them.

1: The Diagonal Line
There I was, sitting in an unknown room, noticeably the only brunette. Every other human seated in the room was adorned with deep reddish copper and strawberry locks. Their exuberant exchanges felt new and exciting and the occasional thickness of the air led me to think this was a significant gathering of some sort. I looked across the space, feeling its warmth, toward the couch where a few were sitting. Behind them was this diagonal line spanning beyond the length of the counch. From my point of view, I couldn't quite make out what it was.
