The morning of my daughter's birthday: 💕 1. Get photos done before the party. We all want our little ones to have the best birthday, especially when it's the big ONE. Needless to say, you will wants photos to look back on and share with your loved ones. In the morning get your little one all dressed up and have your mini photo shoot, before all the excitement, before the cake, and most importantly before little one is too tired to say "Cheeeeese!"

One of the most important things, if not "the" most important thing in life, is family. I enjoy learning and experiencing the different atmospheres and systems each family has built generation after generation. The rules of life vary through multiple cultures, sizes, ethnicities, and locations. However, the way you and your family operate is neither good or bad, but it is the most beautiful thing in the world because it's your family. There are definitely troubles, heartache, distance, and other things that happen, but you have to always stick together. In my family, I make it a point and emphasize that no matter what we are a team and it doesn't matter how mad we get at each other we will not stop having contact with each other or stop loving each other. Find the joy and peace in your family and you will realize you don't have to look at someone else's family and make it #familygoals.

Prom Night
On February 8, 2019, there will be an event at The First Church of Nazarene. This is no ordinary event to add to the everyday list. On Friday the event that I am speaking of will be something to be remembered for a long time to come. Prom night for those with specialized needs. The ages are 14 and older for the kids. This is a night for others to set aside their everyday worries and allow their kids to enjoy one of the most excellent nights of their lives.

Live for You
Every year over 24,000 babies are stillborn and families grieve in pain knowing that they will not get to see their baby boy or girl grow up. They will not get to see their child run and play. They will not get to kiss them goodnight. This reality hit my sister's home on June 22, 2018. I watched my sister give birth to her baby girl named Evelyn. Evelyn had her mom's curly black hair and her momma's long eyelashes. She was beautiful. She entered Earth with no cry and no life. It was heartbreaking watching my sister and brother-in-law hold her knowing they would eventually have to say goodbye. Memories. Memories is what they hold onto and hope that one day after this life they will see their baby girl again.

Creativity and Motherhood
I have a confession to make. I started blogging over a year ago to find my voice. To unload and dump all the words in my brain that have been eating tiny holes into the fiber of my being for decades. My creative outlet. I have filled pages, some published and others collecting cyber dust in unopened files, on an irregular basis. I nervously submitted one piece to a local publication and it was accepted. As I wait to see my words in print, I am still trying to figure me out. Like a blimp banner across my subconscious, the question, who do you "think" you are paralyzes me, instead of answering the question of who are you really.

Seven people are in court at the moment for spraying a three-year-old boy with acid as the father wanted to prove that the mother was unfit and unable to care for the child properly and he should have more time with the boy. This may seem very extreme—to hurt your own child to fabricate evidence against a woman to show how much you love the child. However, this is more the norm in Family Court than otherwise, with fathers doing anything they can to hurt the mother of their children.
