Parents-to-be are excited for their soon-to-be bundle of joy coming into the world. Before they get ready for the birth of their child, an expecting couple or families or friends set up a gender reveal party to find out if they are having a boy or a girl. Now I am not going to lie I love gender reveal parties even when it's emotional, hilarious to watch the children's reaction to find out their soon-to-be sibling is going to be a sister or brother, or even when it fails.

Too bad I didn't throw myself a gender reveal party for my son I had to find out on my own through the doctor who did my sonogram. However, there are times when people are taking their gender reveal parties too far and too dangerous. For instance, An expecting couple was celebrating their pregnancy in Sinaloa, Mexico with their families and friends. They hired a pilot with a small jet to fly past and dump either pink or blue colored powder to indicate the gender of their baby.

As seen on the video, the plane approached the mom and dad-to-be, who were standing next to an 'Oh baby' sign, It released pink smoke from its fuselage.

It's a girl!!!!!

The couple, families, and friends were celebrating to learn that they were having a baby girl while the plane lost control. Another video shows the plane spiraling out of control until the plane crashes. Paramedics rushed to the scene to save the pilot but it was too late. The pilot was identified as 32-years-old Luis Angel N. died from his injuries. The investigation is still pending and no arrest has been made.

However, this isn't the only horrifying gender reveal tragedy. A Father-to-be from Liberty, New York gets killed by an explosive color device and injures his brother.

In Australia, A car emitting blue smoke drove down a road in Australia’s Gold Coast announcing that a boy was on the way. Once the car stopped, however, it burst into flames. Thankfully, no one was injured. However, the driver was charged with reckless endangerment. In New Hampshire, 80 pounds of explosives were detonated at a gender reveal party in Kingston, New Hampshire. No one was injured, but the explosion caused the foundation of neighboring homes to shake and form cracks in the walls. Also, a couple from California facing jail time after causing a California wildfire that burned 22,000 acres in California and killed a firefighter.

Lastly, which is not that tragic, A father-to-be from at his gender reveal and falls hurting his ankle which is kind of hilarious but painful thankfully he is okay.

Honestly, I think it is amazing to find out the sex of the baby however it doesn't have to be over the top like everything you see on social media or on the internet. It can be exciting but most definitely dangerous not only for everyone but for the future baby coming so before you start a gender reveal I would research ideas on how to reveal the surprising sex of the baby before you plan ahead and make sure it doesn't harm the families, friends, or anyone else in that matter. With that being said if you are planning a gender reveal party, make it safe or better yet just say you're having a boy or a girl to save up money for a baby shower party that way you don't spend too much. As for the expecting parents, congratulations and be safe!!!
