I love working with the God Apollo he has such an amazing energy to him, fun, loving and free. Maybe you want to bring more light into your life? Maybe you want to bring more of an understanding for art and poetry into your life. Or maybe you want to work on your psychic abilities. Apollo is the god you are looking for to work with then. In the greek pantheon as a god he is a prominent deity his sphere of influence varies but his role as the god of music, prophecy, healing, oracle, and purification are but to name a few. I have found an academic resource dedicated all about him if you want to develop more of a relationship with this beloved sun deity here: "Apollo: The Origins and History of the Greek God"- https://amzn.to/3IWGuBi

Apollo's mythology does not make its debut until the greek hellenistic period of art and art history in the greek mythology. This is also where we his sister Artemis Greek goddess of the hunt appear for the first time, helping her mother Leto deliver Apollo as a mid-wife for his birth. The twins are famous for their duality and opposing roles in greek mythology. They are also know for embodying the traits of the astrology sign Gemini (the twins) May 21-Jun 20th. For more of an academic take on their relationship you can purchase your copy of "Apollo and Artemis: The Origins and History of the Twin Deities in Ancient Greek Mythology" -https://amzn.to/3KK3wwu

Apollo has been represented in art and culture throughout history. This can include his portrayal in literature, music, and visual art all of which are parts of his sphere of influence. In the more modern era Lady Gaga makes a reference to him in her song "Mary Jane Holland" on the Art Pop Album "So if you have fear, Apollo, sit on my lyre, and play him like a piano man." I can see how Apollo would enjoy that unique and quick reference.

Apollo as a god of sun is also associated with the lyre, and the laurel wreath. This association with the laurel wreath is in his connection to the myth about him and Daphne the nymph. Personal my favorite depiction of this myth is the sculpture by Italian artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini, executed between 1622 and 1625 you can purchase a smaller version of this statue for your home or for your altar space when working with Apollo. No matter where this work of art will be in your home it will bring Apollo's energy into your home and act as an excellent conversation piece in any room. purchase here: Apollo & Daphne Bernini God Greek Nude Maiden Cast Marble Statue Sculpture 11 inches-https://amzn.to/3kyoN

When working with Apollo, this is where I love to work with essential oils since laurel wreaths are hard to come by these days, or maybe the laurel plant is not native to your area where you live. I recommend using this Laurel Leaf Essential Oil to help diffuse in your space while you call in this awesome deity into your practice or give as an offering to the god of light. What most people forget about why Apollo is so important is that he was the male god to take over the temple at Delphi. Here his oracles would give prophetic guidance and insight after payment and an offering was made to the temple. Most people do not know that he was the first god to create the first form of a psychic hotline. The reason the oracle at Delphi was in place was because it is said that Apollo got overwhelmed giving too many psychic messages that he could not do his other tasks as a god. So he chose a woman to become his oracle to deliver his divine insight, that way he would be able to free up his time and conduct his other divine duties.

In ancient times this insight was given on everyday matters yes, but also to matters of the state, kings and other governmental leaders in the ancient greek society would seek out the oracle at Delphi for help in such matters. There is a myth where Hercules went into the temple and desecrated it because the oracle would not help him. Apollo had to step in and remind Hercules that the oracle was doing her job and that Hera had her hand in this. Apollo maybe an ancient god but he is a god that is all around us. He is more accessible than we realize. Just because we not living in the time of the greeks does not mean we can not find modern solutions to working with him. Developing a relationship with Apollo is a personal and fun experience and it is different for everyone. He guides you with a steady ease in your life in the light of day. His light helps to show the way to healing, and insight on all levels if we are open to the path ahead of us. He knows the path a head is never easy, but he is willing to stand by your side and let you know that you do not have to do everything alone.
