Panther On Defense

In this case it is the nine of acorns. Now the nine of wands is usually has a person who is wounded and they are being defensive and they are standing with nine wands around them almost like a wall. This usually indicates a person has been hurt and they’re afraid of being vulnerable.

In the spirit song tarot by Paulina Cassidy in this depiction I find it extremely more empowering because we have the panther sitting in his own environment. This is where he is perched up high, you see him kind of looking a little fierce but he’s not aggressive. The panther is not defensive he’s just alert and he is watching. I actually prefer this energy when ever I coach my clients for their intuitive life coaching sessions that “You know you’re defensive and you have a right to be after the hurt you have endured.” This is where I make a point to tell them, this is where I tell them “You know you can only be defensive so much, before you begin to repel whatever it is you want away from you. So you have to learn how to use panther energy to come in and allow you to relax a little bit so you’re not always on defense.”

So let’s look at the panther totem and animal. It is an animal that is known for its fierceness as well as it’s a mystery. It is an animal deemed to be a part of the unknown. People who ever come up on it or bewildered by it and also extremely afraid. Panthers are actually known to be super fierce, and protective. Their animal totem energy is that of fierceness and protection as well as connected to the mystical side of the animal world. This is because of their fur and black is always a representation of mystical and absorbing negativity or having control over it.

The panther is known to be extremely protective whenever you need to call on a protection panther energy will protect you. My favorite example of this with the panther totem. Is taken from the story of the jungle book protective is always waiting in the wings and guiding our main character to do the right thing. Also in the story of the jungle book we see a great example of the panther totem as well as their intellectual abilities. You see how they follow their pray as well other habits they exhibit.

Panthers don’t sleep on the ground, they sleep in the trees. That is how they stay alert they like to have their eyes on everything like an eagle. To me panthers are the cats that are like eagles of the cat world. They have their eyes on everything all the time and actually they’re known for their strength versus their agility when it comes to speed. You can either call on the animal totem of the panther to protect it. You can use panther energy to stay alert and to be the cat with its eyes in the trees for you. You could have panther use its strength to help tackle a problem in your everyday life or dream state. To do this you can use it to push through your problem and give you the inner strength to move forward in your every day life. In the dream world you can direct it to push through a nightmare.
