A day at the zoo

For about six months, my younger brother, Joe, has been begging me to take him to the zoo. I finally took him there yesterday, and it was really fun.

Joe loves big cats, so the first animal we saw was the lion. Joe wasn’t too happy because the lion was sleeping behind a tree the whole time, and didn’t move much. My friend, Mary, told me the zoo is getting tigers soon. Maybe they will be more interesting to watch.

On the way to the kangaroos, we came across some penguins. It was the first time I had ever seen penguins. They were really cute. Another amazing thing we saw was the zookeeper feeding the crocodiles. It was very exciting to watch them jump out of the water.

Now, Mary really wants me to go with her to the zoo!
