A Career of Reading Subjectively
My experience as an English major had primarily revolved around three professors who repeatedly drew me to their classrooms. I had found that each of these professors teaches literature from a distinct position. The first tends to teach literature from the perspective of the writer, while the second does from that of the literary critic. However, the third, professor Richard Nochimson, chooses to teach literature from the perspective of the audience member.

A GPS for Adulthood?
Every once in a while, you just run across something that simply makes you marvel. Yes, you kick yourself when you see it, thinking "Why didn't I come up with that?" But at the same time, you see the genius in an idea—and the vast potential it has for making a real difference. And the "thing" does not have to be complicated or technical. In fact, some of the best ideas to come down the pipe offer simplicity in their solutions. Changes to Sex & Health Education in British Schools - My Thoughts
On Monday, it was announced that the Department for Education was changing the law regarding Sex Education lessons in Britain. Not only does the government want to make these lessons compulsory, but they also want to broaden their scope: covering a range of things such as, but not limited to, LGBTQ+ issues, online safety, and mental health. And, speaking as someone who has been through the education system (I'm now 21, and have been through school, college, and university) in Britain, I'm delighted that, finally, measures are being taken to update a curriculum that not only was out of date, but, frankly, taken as a bit of a joke.

How Technology Has Transformed Music Education
It’s easy to write off music as a less important subject when compared to “more valuable” core subjects like English or Mathematics. This perspective is often borne out by experience; when funding gets tight, one of the first things to be affected in an educational system are the music programs, along with those of the other arts.

How Did E-Learning Become Much More Popular Nowadays
One of the greatest inventions in human history is the printing press. The internet, alongside computers, maybe a close second. There aren’t many topics for which you can’t find at least an introductory course online. Anything from math, to languages, to history, everything is online. E-learning is the future, and below you will see some reasons why.

Let's Sort this Language Thing Out!
With 62 percent of individuals in the UK only speaking their native tongue it has become obvious that there is a lack of an attempt to practice learning another language. Many native English speakers feel there is no need to develop their competency in another language. Why? You may ask. It relates to this inherent belief that "everyone else speaks English why learn another one." Whilst the statement above is of relative truth with regards to the popularity of English worldwide, the blissful ignorance surrounding the topic is mind-blowing. If everyone country took this stance, our multi-faceted communicative communities would become obsolete with minimal interaction worldwide.

7 More Free Online Courses to Learn About Social Activism (with Stats)
I previously published a list of 8 online courses to help learn about social activism in relation to the mass media, which includes social media. If you’ve read the story, you might notice a weird stat about tweets 😕: every 60 seconds, 481 tweets are sent. Well, Twitter numbers are larger than that. At least 481,000 tweets are sent every internet minute, and many of these tweets have political hashtags in them.
