Imagine what Coca-Cola is doing inside your body after you drink it. It can do some pretty unusual things, and its contents may be even stranger. Take it a step further and consider only drinking Coca-Cola for the rest of your life. What kind of consequences would this have on your body and teeth, and how horrible would it be to replace water with Coke?

Here are the results if you exclusively drank Coca-Cola. Unbelievably, someone has already carried out something similar. Did the woman in Monaco survive doing this to her body and what would happen if you did the same thing? She stopped drinking water and only drank Coca-Cola for 16 years straight.

We're going to substitute Coca-Cola for the three to four liters of water that doctors advise consumers to drink each day. To meet your daily fluid requirements, you would need to consume more than eight cans of coke every day, which would equal 312 grams of sugar, or the equivalent of six chocolate bars.

It is advised that adults consume no more than 40 grams of sugar each day, so this would be a significant amount of extra sugar in addition to the additional calories. Your weekly calorie consumption from coke alone would increase by over 8,000 calories, but this sweet beverage may also make you eat more, which combined with the extra calories would result in significant weight gain as you continued to drink coke. Another serious problem would be tooth decay. Unless you adhered to an extremely strict tooth brushing schedule, each sip of coke would coat your teeth, tongue, and gums for hours after you finished your soda. If you didn't, the sugars would gradually erode your enamel, which could eventually cause your teeth to completely rot once you finished drinking sodas for the day.

Because coca-cola's caffeine acts as a natural diuretic, you should plan on using the restroom a lot. However, the caffeine would be the least of your concerns. High fructose corn syrup is one of the key substances you should be concerned about because our bodies cannot metabolize it, which may result in a fatty liver. Symptoms of a fatty liver include weariness and soreness in the upper right abdomen. You would develop greater health problems as you drank more Coca-Cola. Because of the sugar, caffeine, and other chemicals in your diet, you may experience frequent fainting spells, a potassium deficiency, heart rate problems, and a high risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

If all of these problems persisted and you chose to ignore them, you could develop proteinuria, which could then cause kidney problems after years of only paying lip service to them. You could consume your final sips of coca-cola and face the risk of a heart attack, kidney failure, or other health problems. However, there is an alternative. Consider the case of a woman who consumed coca-cola for 16 years, experiencing similar issues such as fainting and weight gain.

After deciding to quit drinking coke, her body remarkably recovered to a relatively healthy state within a short period. It's possible to engage in this habit for more than ten years without severe consequences, but it's important to note that even though consuming only coke for a week, a month, or even a year wouldn't be fatal, it is not advisable.

Researchers from Yale discovered that individuals who consume soft drinks tend to consume a higher number of calories, primarily due to their failure to accurately account for the additional calories present in their beverages.

Furthermore, switching to Diet soda does not provide a solution. ASAP Science has reported that various experiments have indicated that the sweet taste, whether derived from real or artificial sweeteners, actually stimulates our appetite.

Consequently, many individuals who consume diet drinks may find themselves opting for larger portions of unhealthy food, such as ordering large fries with their meals. In addition, soft drinks can also accelerate the aging process. Telomeres, which act as protective caps on the ends of our chromosomes, naturally shorten as time progresses. Interestingly, individuals who consume 600ml of soda daily experience a comparable rate of telomere shortening.
