The Glowing Pear
THE GLOWING PEAR “I can’t wait for tomorrow”, a young boy named Robert said. “Shhhhh. Go to bed or you won’t have much energy left to move in the morning.”, His sister Jane replied. “Ok. Ok.”, he replied and closed his eyes. Robert was so excited because he was going to go on his first camping trip with his family. He had read many books about nature and had never seen the outdoors. Last year, he was signed up to play baseball by his parents and he didn’t like it. Robert wasn’t really much into athletics and didn’t make any effort trying to learn how to play the sport. His mother wanted him to be just like his older sister. She was the perfect child: a straight A student, volleyball champion, graduate with honors and now college bound. This was going to be her last year with them before she would go off to dorm at the university, so their father decided to take them on a family vacation for a few weeks. Robert drifted off to sleep with a big smile on his face.

Ooey Gooey, Goozing Oozing Spider
Ooey Gooey, Goozing Oozing Spider Through a crack in my window screen, tonight a spider comes to me. Sporting pink hair and slipping out of closet doors, this spider is undoubtedly part of the queer community; I will only refer to them using they/them pronouns until further investigation.

Forbidden But Not an Apple Tree
No photos on Social Media, no articles in Newspapers, and no interviews on TV but, why? People in K-1 would put on a tie with their sleepers on and only the sleepers, sweat pants with work boots, and a bow tie with no shirt. Only in this place was this normal and nowhere else in the world. People didn't understand why things happened the way they did but eventually, they would find out.

Under Thin Ice
A monster lives in Lögnberg Pond. Whilst there is heated debate on the specifics - how many eyes, the number of toddlers devoured, and whether its claws are sharp as a wolf or a bear - the one thing every child in Lögnberg agrees on is that there is definitely a monster in the pond.

Sea of Lights
Little Nicholas was on a camping trip. He and both of his best friends, Gwen and Sam, went with their families. They were all excited because they finally got the chance to do all the things that they put on their ‘King of the Campgrounds’ list. A list they made of things they wanted to do when they finally went camping and this weekend they wouldn’t waste a moment to try to do them all.

The End of an Era
A young girl, somewhere around the age of ten, had a dream one night that would awaken her to the harsh reality of the world she was born into. Where exactly she was residing is unimportant in the grand scheme of things; she could be here or there, and it would happen just the same. It was a usual night, and she was dreaming a usual dream (if such a thing even exists). Whatever one of your classic dreams is, just imagine that is what she was seeing. The last bit of dream, just before she woke up, is the part she knew was different. She could feel the difference. It wasn’t really a dream, but it also was surely not physically happening. She now believes it was a spiritual meeting of sorts – that seems to be the only explanation that feels right.
