Woman Mutilates, Murders & Dismembers Man During Meth-Fueled Sexual Act
The 24-year-old had "sexual relations" with the corpse for two or three hours
UPDATE: Schabusiness has been deemed competent to stand trial.
Wisconsin police charged 24-year-old Taylor D. Schabusiness with first-degree homicide and mutilating a corpse, as well as third-degree sexual assault after she allegedly choked her boyfriend to death, then mutilated and dismembered his body.
A Gruesome Discovery
The victim’s mother made the gruesome discovery around 3 am after she was awoken to the sound of a door slamming. She then called the police, telling operators Schabusiness was the last person to have seen her son alive.
Green Bay police found dried blood on a mattress inside the bedroom. The victim’s body was found inside a storage tote sitting nearby the mattress. Continuing their search, police found a bucket containing the victim’s “male sexual organ” and his severed head in another area of the home. They located a crock pot containing “additional human body parts including a leg” inside Schabusinesses minivan.
Police questioned Schabusiness, whose clothes were covered in blood, after searching the home, asking her what happened. She replied, “That is a good question.”
Schabusiness went on to tell officers she and the victim smoked meth all night then returned to his mother’s home where they engaged in sexual intercourse. The couple incorporated chains into the experience. She told police that she blacked out and then went “crazy,” strangling him with a chain.
Found Choking Victim “Enjoyable”
Schabusiness said she did not intend to kill the victim but found choking him enjoyable so did not stop. She noticed that her boyfriend began to cough up blood and turn purple, but since she was “already this far,” continued killing him. Once revealing this information, Schabusiness joked with police, telling them to “have fun trying to find all the body parts.”
Schabusiness originally told investigators they’d find all the body parts in the basement, then told them about the leg in the minivan. She told them she put the head in a bucket and threw a blanket over it.
"Schabusiness stated she used knives that she obtained from the kitchen of the residence and that a bread knife worked the best because of the serrated blade," the complaint reads. "Schabusiness stated the knives should be in a black bag along with the body parts in the basement," adding that she used whatever bags she could find to store the dismembered limbs. Schabusiness made the comment that at one point, she did get paranoid and lazy and that she thought it was the 'dope' that was making her paranoid," it says.
"Schabusiness stated the plan was for her to bring all of the body parts with her but she got lazy and only ended up putting the leg/foot in the van and she forgot the head."
Before dismembering the victim’s body, Schabusiness “performed sexual acts on the body for two or three hours,” according to police reports.
Probation & Court Hearing
Schabusiness had been on probation for the past seven weeks and was supposed to be wearing an electronic ankle monitor at the time of the incident. The bracelet had been removed beforehand. Authorities say they aren’t sure how she removed the bracelet.
She’ll make her first court appearance later this month.
Update: After writing this story, authorities released the name of the victim. He was identified as 24-year-old Shad Thyrion.
My Thoughts
Don't have a lot of background information on this one. People out here are crazy. Leave the drugs alone or reach out to someone who can help you. My condolences to the victim’s family.
