Woman Beat up Boyfriend When He Refused Sex With Her

Anger becomes she who is denied intercourse

By True Crime WriterPublished 13 days ago 3 min read

In 2015, Tabatha Lee Grooms from Augusta, Georgia, attacked her boyfriend in a drunken stupor after he refused to have sex with her. She also attacked her 66-year-old mother during the incident.

On June 24, 2015, Grooms returned home at about 11:30 p.m. after a night of fun at local bars. She began arguing with her boyfriend, 30-year-old Carlos Rodrecus Grace, about his refusal to have intercourse with her before she went out for the night.

As Grace sat on the couch, Grooms attacked him, scratching his face, neck, and head, and biting him on the arm, according to a report from WFXG. Her mother, Betty Clark, 66, attempted to calm her daughter down only to get punched in the left eye.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call from the residence made by a bloodied Grace. Upon their arrival, Grooms acted hostile toward officers and refused to answer their questions, although she began shouting that she “f*cked everyone else because he would not f*ck her!” She also admitted that she had been drinking.

Grooms also threatened to ‘run over a cop with a stroller if they did not move out of her way.’

GoFundMe

She was booked into the Richmond County Jail on misdemeanor charges of simple battery and domestic violence. At the time, Grooms was awaiting sentencing on a prior misdemeanor drunk driving conviction.

I cannot find updates for this case, although the maximum time she could have received if convicted of the misdemeanor charges would have been 11 months, 29-days in jail.

I did find an update stating Ms. Grooms passed away in 2023 after she was unexpectedly struck by a car. Rest easy, Ms. Grooms.

As you might imagine, Grooms is one of many people who has attacked their partner after sex-related arguments.

Lorrie Ann Carroll

In December 2018, a Florida woman threw a paint roller at her boyfriend after she ‘demanded’ sex from him and he refused.

Port St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office booked Lorrie Anne Carroll, 42, on charges of battery and three counts of resisting an officer without violence.

The boyfriend called the police around 3 a.m. telling them he and Carroll had argued all day because she wanted to have sex, but he did not. The man left the house to get away from her, but when he returned, the argument ensued and she continued her attempts to have sex with him.

After the boyfriend told Carroll he was not in the mood, she punched him in the chest and tossed the paint roller at his head. She also shattered the window in his truck. He called the police.

Stacey Ann Ortiz

HuffPost

Another incident in Port St. Lucie from 2012 resulted in the arrest of Stacey Ann Ortiz, 34, who chased her boyfriend down the street in his underwear and attacked him after he refused to have sex with her.

The man reported that he wanted to watch TV and Ortiz wanted to have sex. Ortiz claimed her boyfriend headbutted her and she had chased him out of her house. She told NBC Miami, “Everybody thinks that this is a funny story, and it's not. It’s not something that should be made fun of.”

Sex is great, and all, but remember, boys and girls, your partner can say no if they do not want it for any reason whatsoever- and that is okay! Invest in toys, watch a few XXX vids online, pleasure yourself, and leave your partner alone if they are not in the mood.
