The kidnapping of 8½ year old child then murder: 11th class student asked for a ransom of 6 lakhs, executed the incident after watching CID serial

The name of the deceased student was Arjit alias Hannu. Her father Ajit Tripathi is the Area Sales Manager of Paytm in Sonipat. On Monday evening, he came to know about the kidnapping of his son Hannu. 6 lakh ransom letter was also found in the house. He also made arrangements for Rs 4 lakh overnight, but Hannu's body was found at around 4 am. Seeing the CCTV footage, the police suspected the minor.

On Tuesday, during the investigation, Hannu was last seen with the accused in the CCTV footage of the police building. On this, the Bahalgarh police station of Sonepat arrested the minor accused on the basis of suspicion.

Hannu went to play in the society itself.

Police said that Hannu's body was found in the basement of the society. There were 15 injury marks on his head and his throat was also strangulated. The forensic team that reached the spot after collecting evidence sent the body for postmortem.

After this, when the police started scanning the footage of the closed circuit (CC) cameras installed in the basement and the building, Hannu was seen going with a boy living in the neighborhood. This boy studies in the 11th standard in the same school as Hannu.

When the police started questioning, the accused tried his best to mislead him by making up a fabricated story. The accused told that Hannu was taken away by some youths in the car. He himself saw those youths. However, the police did not believe his words as no such vehicle was visible in the CCTV cameras of the society. After this, when the police took strict action, he broke down and disclosed the whole incident.The minor accused told that on Monday evening he took Hannu to the basement of the building. He didn't want to kill him, but when he started tying his hands and feet in the basement, Hannu started crying. Due to this, he got scared and in panic, he hit his head several times with an iron pan (a tool to open nuts and bolts). Blood started oozing from Hannu's head and he fell down.

He felt that he could be caught when Hannu regains consciousness, so he strangled him. When he was convinced that Hannu was dead, he picked up his body and threw it in a water drum lying in the basement.
