The Dirtiest Cops In America; Brevard County Sheriffs Take 1st Place

Brevard Counties Sheriffs Department... Police Corruption Is Not Just Accepted, It's Mandatory.

"Brevard County come on vacation, leave on probation..."

Quite the catchphrase isn't it? Sad part about it is there's a really good chance that the political figure heads here are a lot more pleased about this reputation; rather than embarrassed like they probably should be. How could anyone in a leadership position be proud of being known for locking people in cages 10 times more than 98% of the rest of the country. It would be hard for anyone to object, in the event that you assumed that Brevards county-level government officials are entirely corrupt (by the very definition of the word). They must be! It's the only plausible explanation for the atrocious, dictator-like fashion in which their reprehensible criminal justice system is carried out . Well... unless the entire roster of government officials working in this fucked up county are, in fact, absolutely... undeniably... delusional in every sense of the word. Each and every one of them, helpless victims of by far one of the most horrific forms of mental illness mankind has ever had the misfortune of being exposed to. Sad to say that the chances of that explanation having any basis in reality are just about as high as your chances of super gluing your body to the tip of a rocket set to launch, being shot straight out into space towards a neighboring star and not only surviving the ordeal but coming home to tell your friends and family how the journey was. for this counties abundance of villain-like Police Officers, prove to be so obviously improbable, they're just an inch or two away from absurdly impossible. Alright now, that's more than enough ranting about Brevard Counties villainous sheriffs. Don't get the wrong impression, I could go on endlessly about the extent of the corruption in which this particular sheriffs department is guilty of; not to mention the half a dozen other police departments they cooperate with daily. However, allegations unaccompanied by the supporting evidence that proves their credibility, are always (as they should be) viewed as nothing more than empty accusations. That being said, coming up is the evidence that supports "BCSD's" nomination for #1 in police corruption in America.

Unlike its surrounding counties, Brevard isn't really all that much of a hot-spot for visiting tourists. A reality in which they alone are responsible for, given the fact that they proudly boast the title of Florida's "Space Coast". Okay, so even with the governments decision to cease funding for the space program that once thrived here, private companies like Space X and Virgin Galactic have done more than enough to fill that void. If Brevard's local government desired, they could capitalize on they're space center niche all the way and, as a result, give Orlando's theme parks and Daytona's beach events a serious run for their money, literally! Unfortunately, to the disappointment of millions (myself included), they chose to lean on criminal incarceration to act as the counties economic backbone. That is why the local jail is operated by the Brevard County Sheriffs Department. Every state is required to pay their county jails a set amount of money for each individual inmate being housed in their facilities. Brevard is far from the only county that relies on this system as an alternate method of revenue. Counties in Kentucky and Ohio have also attempted to push through expansion plans for their jails in order to increase maximum capacity thus increasing the amount of money they can earn from their state. However, Brevard County receives the highest amount of money from the state of Florida for housing inmates, earning over $200 for every individual inmate locked up in their county jail every single day... Now take into consideration that the county jail houses a total of 16 hundred inmates (give or take) year round. Thus causing the annual amount of revenue that Brevard earns from its county jail is a multi-million dollar income. So it becomes rather obvious why the BCSD might have some incentive to toss the rule book out the window when conducting police activity.

It wouldn't take you very long to see how Brevard's Sheriffs Department stays busy every day. Just choose any neighborhood and go for a walk, chances are that you'll start to notice evidence of people suffering from drug addiction within the first few blocks. Now this has always been a tough subject for me... Drug addiction, in my eyes, is something that should be treated as a sickness and not as a crime. Unfortunately, it appears that the local sheriffs have their own opinion and their agenda matches it entirely. Undercover units patrol the streets 24 hours a day. Their objective.., locating a household that they can choose to be the target for their next raid. Once they spot a home that fits the bill, it's like a whistle goes off and their sick game begins. They start off by identifying each and every resident that lives in the home they have chosen to target. It isn't just the people residing there either, someone can simply pay a visit to the household and it's enough for them to be added to their list of potential suspects. Once those same visitors commence their departure, the undercover units will place a tail on them in order to trail them until a sheriff on duty can intercept and pull them over for whatever reason they choose to make up in that moment. Which means absolutely no reason at all. Worst case scenario: that person or persons who decided to pay the target household a visit will be busted with some sort of illegal possession, even if it's just paraphernalia and they'll be hauled off to jail. If that happens then that marks off 1 of the 3 required arrests needed to obtain a warrant to carry out their raid. The best case scenario is that someone who is completely innocent is issued some kind of traffic ticket that they did nothing to deserve. Now they have to pay a few hundred dollars all so that the undercover officers can successfully cover their own asses for the unjustified traffic stop and search. God forbid that the victim of this gross abuse of power chooses to do or say anything to stand up for themselves... That's a quick and easy way to ensure that they land themselves in the county jail for at least a night or two. That same county jail we discussed earlier , you know, the one that acts ass Brevards economic backbone by receiving over $200 a day per inmate housed within their facility. Are you starting to notice a recurring theme here?

After enough people have been harassed by being either extorted, or handcuffed then hauled away to jail, some judge signs off on a warrant. Now nothing else is needed in order for the undercover task-force to move forward with raiding the residence. A dozen deputies are pulled off of the street and assigned a role in the raid. Everyone is instructed to meet at a select location not far from the target of their operation; this is where they can give a final briefing and patiently wait for whomever has been tasked with surveying the property in order to guarantee that the desired suspects are indeed home when the party starts. Once all the desired targets are in attendance.., the officer calling shots gives the order for the raid team to move in with a quickness.

Due to my history as a "street pharmacist" within the marijuana industry, I have had the misfortune of experiencing several raids throughout the first half a decade post high-school graduation. It's actually some what humorous how the younger, more ignorant me believed that the cops were out of line back in those days. If only I could show that naive version of myself some footage of how they do things up here in cocoa... Brevard's police are so ruthless out here that they make those Miami-Dade officers look like the most polite, most merciful cops I've ever encountered. I'm not exagerating in the slightest; BCSD deputies, along with Brevards other officers such as Cocoa PD, conduct themselves as if they were soldiers overseas and we were the enemy threat. As soon as they have the house surrounded on all sides, they storm their way in. In the unlucky event that anyone is standing right out side, they are gifted with the worst greeting ever, in the form of a couple of flash-bang grenades. Blinding light and a deafening high pitched ring allows for the invaders to subdue them down on the ground Immediately. The following action they take really attests to their sworn oath as civil servants. Without the slightest regard for the home owners property, every single window throughout the house is smashed in. Nearly every resident inside gets the privilege of being bombarded with sheets of broken glass. and then, as if that wasn't painful enough, they are commanded to lay face-down on the ground on top of all the glass they have just been shredded by. They are forced to remain in this torturous position while the pieces of shit, (cough, cough) I mean police officers complete their head count of all the people inside the building. One by one, room by room, residents are forced to lay down on broken glass until it's their turn to be escorted to the front yard and seated with the rest of their family, friends, roommates, and house-guests. Once they have completed clearing out the house and restraining everyone out front, then it's time for them to search the property entirely for any illegal contraband they can possibly find; guns, drugs, paraphernalia, anything they can collect in order to justify the atrocity that they just carried out. In addition, any possible reason they can use in order to take as many of the residents to jail as they can. Not for a simple one-nighter but rather insurmountable periods of time. Time where the county jail can be considered their new home... and every single day that they spend in that new home rewards the county $200 from the state. As a consequence, it doesn't make a difference whether or not the home contained the amount of drugs these raids are intended for. It means absolutely nothing if the task force was completely wrong in their assumption of what they would find. Even the slightest amount of residue can award one of the poor bastards staying there with a trip to county.

Allow me to repeat that so that there is no confusion...

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE TASK FORCE WAS COMPLETELY WRONG ABOUT WHY THE HOUSE NEEDED TO BE RAIDED! IF THERE'S SO MUCH AS AN EMPTY BAG WITH A HINT OF RESIDUE, SOMEONE WILL GO TO JAIL, THE OWNER OF THE HOME MUST PAY FOR THE DAMAGES DONE TO THEIR PROPERTY DURING THE RAID, AND IF THAT ISN'T ENOUGH TO RUIN THEIR LIVES, THE COUPLE DOZEN STICKERS SLAPPED ON EVERY SIDE OF THEIR HOME DECLARING IT TO BE CONDEMNED CERTAINLY WILL BE!

That's right, as if the trauma that coincides with being forced to watch as strangers break their way into your home, subdue your friends and family, so they can be taken away and thrown into a cage wasn't enough. You also get the privilege of watching the city slap stickers all around your home declaring the property to be condemned. Isn't that just wonderful?! So even if it turns out that your innocent and your not taken away to county jail, it doesn't matter to them. You'd expect some form of an apology for their misconceptions and unjustified behavior right.., nope... instead your forcefully placed into the counties homeless population. Until you cover the expenses of repairing your home from all the damages that the sheriffs caused during their raid, your not allowed to live on your property.

I want to recap that situation for you one final time so that you understand just how immoral and unconstitutional it actually is.

Brevard Sheriffs decide to target your property out of suspicions that it is the set of some kind of illegal drug operation; meth lab, trap house, grow house, etc. They then proceed to harass every person that is either staying or visiting said property. They will continue this until they've made enough arrests to have a judge sign off on a warrant to raid the property. They commence this raid causing thousands of dollars worth of damage in the process. Even the smallest amount of traces of an illegal drug is enough for them to make an arrest if not several. Regardless if it's only residue or paraphernalia or if it's a drug that's different from what they were searching for people are going to jail. Even if they are completely wrong about their reason for the entire investigation and raid, people go to jail and the property is condemned causing all residents to be put into the street (children included) until you can pay to repair the damages that they caused. Situations like this take place on a constant basis here in Brevard County...

It's sad to say that these are police stationed in our great nation, the Brevard County Sheriffs Office is without a doubt a disgrace, not only to every other American police department but also to the United States of America entirely. Which is why I've decided to bring their unjustified, unconstitutional behavior to light. So that the rest of the country can be made aware of the mockery that they are making of upholding the law. Here the Sheriff is a celebrity, criminal justice is a game show, and even the pettiest of criminals are treated like they are enemy forces of a rival country instead of the american citizens they truly are. This county fuels its economy by ripping apart one family after another and destroying the lives of countless individuals. Too many lives to count in fact, all ruined by the most pathetic interpretation of criminal justice modern America has ever had to witness. It's time for this Sheriffs department to finally be held accountable for their actions, so that, maybe one day, they'll no longer be one of the most corrupt police departments in the country.

Amen! It's nice to see someone with the cojones to call a pig a pig! BCSO is corrupt through and through, filled with brainless automatons who hide behind riot gear and beat on defenseless citizens to cover up their own insecurity complexes. The only people they protect or serve are themselves and they are the true criminals! It's pathetic. Ivey is the worst one of all, an absolute joke, with his high and mighty act and his retarded "game shows" that make a mockery of the criminal justice system, while he makes back room deals, extorts and attempts to frame people, takes bribes and serves on boards that are clear conflicts of interest.. what a waste of oxygen! It's all a racket, anyone who believes these a-holes care about the law or the community is not living in reality. Thanks for speaking out on this, the more this system of corruption is exposed the better.

So the BCSO is a tyrannical government agency creating its own revenue off of the state? Just profiling anyone off the street in hopes that they can score some heads to capitalize on in the county? We have ourselves a day dreamer here. Believe me, I’ve been in their raids most are professional as you can get in the industry. Brevard is a county of high crime, vagrancy, and drug infestation. If you have been arrested by the BCSO then most likely you were doing something wrong. Maybe not hiding the meth pipe in the coochie deep enough or forgot about the piece of crack rock you dropped while getting head on Guava Street right after you came from Steele St. Your story is missing a lot of variants. It’s so one sided any moment it could flip over and sink. As a former Pimp/Dealer from Brevard, I commend the BCSO for their reckless intrusions of microscopic scum all over the county. As for the poor law abiding citizens that got caught with the 18 kilograms of meth and fentanyl? Well let’s just say…..their idiots.
