As the manager walks off, Alex slams the door. He stands there for a while with his hand on the knob and puts his head on the door. He goes back to call a couple of ads he saw in the paper, searching for the next ads, he runs across an ads that catches his eye ALEX I hope he or she still needs somebody! He start dialing the number 555... Ring... ring... ring... The phone rings about five times ALEX (CONT’D) Come on... Come on... Answer the phone. Right before Alex was about to hang up the phone, the call gets answered IRENE Hello... ALEX Hello... Hello... IRENE Yes. May I help you? ALEX I was calling because of the add I saw in the paper. IRENE Yes... What is it you would like to know? ALEX Do you still need somebody?IRENE Yes, I do. ALEX Can I get more information about, or what I will be doing? IRENE Well, the pay is $10 dollars an hour, you will be helping me with my every day needs. ALEX Huh, like what? IRENE Taking the trash out, clean the house or help me take a bath sometimes. ALEX Well, it wasn’t listed in the add. IRENE I know. ALEX I don't do those kind of things, care giving--- and besides I need more then $10 dollars an hour. Thank you though. Review of 'True Story'
As the year quickly draws to a close, I wanted to tell you that True Story, a seven-episode mini-series my wife and I finished watching last night on Netflix, has to be one of the best crime dramas of year.
