Pauline comes from a very poor family, and David is rich, so their marriage was arranged. Jinna, Pauline's maid, assists her in getting dressed at night. She wonders if Pauline is anxious about her marriage being finalized tonight, Pauline isn't.

David, her husband, enters and inquires as to whether she is content with everything. David tells Pauline that she will remain inside the house and not leave. Pauline disagrees with this because she enjoys being outside. David, on the other hand, ignores her and orders her to take off her clothes. She does indeed. David then takes off his clothes and dims the lights. However, he immediately goes to sleep. Pauline remains there clumsily in obscurity.

A lot later, Pauline attempts to get some outside air while remaining in the limits of the house. Her days are boring and repetitive. She just sits on the couch and looks at the fireplace on occasion. She falls asleep as a result of this.

Pauline isn't treated as an equivalent to the men. During dinner, no one notices her. David’s father Dan, even advises Pauline that her obligation is to ensure she supplies David with a male successor, so she should continuously attempt around evening time.

David tells Pauline to get up when he enters their bedroom and then tells her to take off her clothes. While he nibbles his banana in the corner, he forces her to face the wall. He can alleviate himself.

David has to leave one day to attend to a coal mine explosion. Dan claims that he too will have to leave. Pauline should be able to regain her strength during this time, according to Dan. He also hopes that when he returns, she will be able to bear David a son.

When he leaves, Pauline goes ahead and do however she sees fit. She breathes a sigh of relief as soon as she opens a window. After being restricted to the confines of the house, she even explores outside.

She is awoken by Jinna yelling at a man while she is sleeping. She sees an irregular man running so she goes to see what is happening.

She visits the men's quarters where David's employees live. Pauline is displeased with the men's playfulness while earning money. After that, she is astonished to see Jinna suspended from the ceiling. According to Leo, they are only weighing her. She demands that they bring Jinna down.

She advises every one of the men to face the wall. Jinna surges out there as quick as possible. Pauline, on the other hand, is focused on Leo. Pauline asks the amount she would gauge.

In order to secure her in the sling, Leo approaches her and grabs her. Despite this, Pauline is upset and is able to escape Leo's grasp. She tells them before she leaves that she will keep a close eye on them because they are wasting the money of her husband by playing around.

Afterward, Pauline goes to Jinna to ask her what the man's name was. Pauline has no respect to how Jinna was feeling. Jinna is as yet overreacted subsequent to being disregarded by the men. Be that as it may, Pauline simply shows her advantage and worries about Leo. Jinna weeps as Pauline departs.

One morning, Pauline is out in the fields while Leo contemplates whether she's lost. However, Pauline ignores him and continues to walk. Pauline hears a knock at her door at night. Leo is the one who tells her that he is bored. Pauline tries to push the door shut when he tries to enter her room. Leo asks if she's bored after he defeats her. Leo attempts to drive himself onto Pauline, in any case, she retaliates. At last, Pauline can't battle her desires any longer and rushes on Leo enthusiastically. The two carry out the thing simply enduring under 20 seconds.

Pauline and Leo repeat their actions the following day. Father Luis visits her in the future. He asks why Pauline hasn't been going to chapel, so he accepts it should be her wellbeing. She is advised to remain inside by him. Pauline observes Jinna and concludes that Jinna must have informed Father Luis that she spends a lot of time exploring. Pauline repeats the act with Leo as soon as he departs.

In the meantime, Jinna goes alone to the woods to pick some mushrooms. Leo interferes with her. While he is out walking the dog, he informs me that dogs shouldn't be tied for too long lest they become excessively wild. Jinna concurs, stating that the dog's tie was indeed excessively long. She's referring to Pauline, though. Jinna lets Leo know that if David somehow managed to find out, he'd be disturbed.

Leo goes to Pauline to repeat the act despite her warnings. From the key peephole in the hallway, Jinna watches. When Leo looks at the door, Jinna eventually leaves. Afterward, Jinna cautions Pauline that Dan has returned. Pauline is prompted to carry out the same routine, tiresome chores she has always done.

They finally get together for dinner. He ponders where David is at, yet Pauline doesn't know all things considered. Dan requests that Jinna bring a unique jug of wine. Pauline, on the other hand, consumed each bottle. Dan is perplexed as to where it all went. Jinna doesn't uncover reality about Pauline drinking everything. Dan requests Jinna to get kneeling down, so he can deal with her like a lowly creature. When Dan dismisses her, she leaves quickly. Pauline recently watched during all of this. She has absolutely no concern for Jinna's well-being.

Dan goes to Leo the following day and hits him repeatedly hard. He asks Lucas to secure him. She goes looking for him when Pauline learns of this news. Dan later gives Pauline a lecture on everything she has done. He claims that Pauline has embarrassed his family. Pauline demands Leo be released by Dan. However, Dan does not pay attention. He describes Pauline as a failure for failing to provide David with a legal heir. Then he slaps Pauline so hard, her unfortunate predecessors felt it.

Then, at that point, in a little while, Pauline requests that Dan let Leo out. Dan tries to throw glass but hold not to. At the point when Dan passes on to the washroom, Pauline chooses to secure him by setting a seat on the door handle. Jinna is asked to join Pauline for dinner. In the end, she requests that Jinna tell her about herself. In the meantime, you can hear groans coming from the bathroom. When Pauline asks Jinna to return to her seat, Jinna tries to assist Dan. It seems like Pauline poisoned Dan.

When his snorts for help stop, Pauline advises Jinna to get down to business to get a specialist, so Jinna surges out. Meanwhile, Pauline goes to Leo to free him. Dan has already passed away, so it is too late for Jinna to bring the doctor over. Jinna shouts in agony and anguish subsequent to being compelled to play these rich individuals' games. David informs Pauline in a letter that he will not be attending his father's funeral. Pauline wants David to never come back. Pauline poses with her deceased stepdad at the funeral. Knowing what Pauline had done, Jinna then stares at her.

In the end, Leo is tidied up seeming to be a fine piece of… excuse me. He is referred to by Pauline as the houseman. Afterward, Pauline lets Jinna know that she will request that an alternate house cleaner bring all her food from here on out as a safeguard. Jinna is upset about this, so she beats the dough hard. Because Dan was old, the other maid tells her not to blame herself. It's possible that it was the wrong mushrooms. Jinna hasn't been speaking, it's shown. She no longer speaks.

Leo is concerned that Jinna might begin talking once more. Be that as it may, Pauline says she will not. Pauline contemplates whether Leo loves her. He acknowledges it. She declares that she and Leo will never be apart. She would rather die than be without him.

Around midnight, Pauline awakens to a commotion outside. She understands that her significant other has returned home, so she advises Leo to hustle up and get dressed. David enters after she conceals Leo in the closet. David tracks down a belt on the floor. Pauline pretends to have found it in the fields.

Pauline is then criticized by David for gaining weight. By providing him with tea, Pauline tries to get him out of the room. However, Pauline makes tea for him in the room while he remains there. The two of them consumed it.

David finally acknowledges that he is aware Pauline has been stealing. He claims that Pauline has been widening her legs to the point where he could see it from miles away. She is reminded by Dan that Pauline was purchased by him for less than the price of a cow.

He is embarrassed and wants Pauline to change her ways by reading her prayer book and staying at home. Pauline gets up and takes Leo out of the closet because she is mad about this. She chooses to lay Leo on the bed and mount him while David watches. David doesn't take long to get up and slap Pauline.

Furthermore, Leo and David start to wrestle. David makes the decision to bite Leo in the neck. Pauline is offended by this, so she hits him hard. Then she continues to hit him even after his dead.

The body will be buried in the woods, Leo decides. The horse is shot after Pauline grabs it. The power blows her back. They were unable to dig a grave for the horse because it was so large. Pauline believes it’s smart to simply heap soil over it.

Leo can't sleep because he keeps seeing David's face after doing everything. He is perplexed as to how Pauline has recovered so quickly from this traumatic event. He is reminded by Pauline that they did it together to safeguard their love and avoid David's assassination. They mount one another and repeat the action. Pauline and Leo eat breakfast together the following morning while Jinna makes them tea.

The horse is decomposing badly after days, and since it was poorly concealed, it is practically in plain sight. Later, Dinah informs Pauline that Leo had slept with her daughter and given birth to a boy named Warren. Clearly, David has been remaining with Dinah and her girl until the girl gave birth. Dinah has evidence in the form of paperwork that David took over as Warren's legal guardian.

Dinah then tells Pauline that David was gone to his home and abruptly vanished. She expects to be he's dead. Notwithstanding, Pauline has to strongly disagree. He's simply missing she says. Jinna is paying attention to this tender discussion as she claims to watch out for the food. Dinah and Warren eventually move in together. Dinah is lying, according to Leo. Pauline, on the other hand, reassures him that they have legal documentation. Because David never touched Pauline, Leo is perplexed as to how David was able to have a child with someone else.

During supper, Dinah tells Pauline that Warren will assume control over Pauline's room. Eventually, Pauline agrees, but she says she will take Dinah's room. Warren politely asks Pauline if he can go out and explore the fields with her one day, she agrees. Warren boosts Pauline's excellence. He is a very kind kid.

In the meantime, Leo has returned to living with the other men in the dirty sleeping shelter. He sees Dinah in the forest one day and requests to join her. Dinah is somewhat frightened from the outset, however permits it. At some point, Jinna gets Pauline investigating her pregnant gut. She chooses to go to Leo to let him know the uplifting news. In any case, Leo drives her away in light of the fact that he doesn't need to be hanged. Leo will remain in his barracks, according to him, as long as Warren is present.

A lot later, Pauline attempts to call for Leo. However, Warren interrupts her. Pauline then makes the decision to push the boy away from her. He cries while taking off. Pauline makes a second request for Leo, but she is ignored.

One day, the boy went missing and the public know about it. In the woods, everyone in the house looks for him. Warren can be found sitting near a raging river and a waterfall by Leo.

Then, at night, Leo enters with Warren while everyone is seated around the fire. He begins requesting them to snatch covers for the kid. In any case, Dinah advises him to go out the house since he's no one worth mentioning bossing individuals around. Pauline dashes over to Leo, who is getting ready to leave. According to Pauline, she will do anything to prevent him from leaving. Although it is too late now, Leo admits that he had the ideal circumstances to push the boy down the waterfall. He hears from Pauline that it's not too late.

Pauline tells Dinah to rest so she can watch over Warren and goes to Dinah. As Pauline leaves the room, Dinah thanks her. Pauline investigates Warren with disdain. Leo is allowed entry into the room by her. After that, Warren emerges from his slumber. He's puzzled as Pauline attempts to hold him. She then covers his face with a pillow as he struggles and screams. Leo comes over to assist Pauline in sucking the boy to death. Leo shakes when it's over. A significant chunk of time must pass for him to understand what had occurred. Pauline pretends or weeps as she sits in the chair. Later, when Jinna enters the room, she finds Warren dead.

In the meantime, Leo is in the forest crying over what had unfolded. Dinah cries uncontrollably when she learns the news. Pauline responds to Dr. Peter's inquiries about the specific events. Pauline claims to have fallen asleep for ten minutes before Warren stopped breathing. She says she had found it just before Jinna had strolled into the room around 5 o'clock.

Dr. Peter wonders if someone else had entered the room and suffocated the boy while Pauline was still asleep. Dr. Peter remarks about Warren's injuries. Pauline quickly asserts that the bruises were caused by the waterfall. However, Dr. Peter claims that the bruises never existed previously.

Afterward, a gathering of them keep on considering how everything occurred. Pauline makes an effort to disregard everyone's theories. After that, Leo enters the room and declares his innocence. including how Pauline suffocated Warren with a pillow. He also tells them how Pauline poisoned Dan with mushrooms and how she killed David. Leo concedes that Pauline's motives was for them to be together. But he felt like she was sucking him in. He calls Pauline an infection.

Pauline says Leo is lying, so he attempts to rush for her, however the two men keep him down. Pauline says that it was Jinna and Leo who did this. She goes back on her lie by claiming that Jinna picked the mushrooms and that she Leo been in a secret relationship. She claims that Leo killed David because he had beaten him before he died. Then, Pauline gives a once-in-a-lifetime performance and says that Warren was like a child to her. Dinah offers to hold Pauline's hand.

Jinna is speechless when she learns of the accusations, she is awestruck. She is met with a fierce stare from Pauline. Jinna remains silent after deciding that this is her destiny. Jinna and Leo are then brought away for their violations.

At last, Pauline stays in the house as Dinah leaves. Pauline is pregnant yet looks miserable.
