The Woman We Love To Hate

What kind of mother goes partying while her two year old daughter is missing for MONTHS?!

Any normal mother will tell you that it is just something that would never happen. If a child is quiet for even five minutes and is not in eye sight, moms are on the move.

Caylee Anthony was three years old and went missing. Casey stated she dropped her daughter off at "Zanny the Nanny's" house. In my opinion, Zanny the Nanny sounds like a name she came up with off the top of her head while on the spot. "What's your nanny's name?" While she looks around the room "Zanny" ... "Yeah, Zanny the Nanny". That's my opinion.

Moving on, Casey's mother, the grandmother of Caylee is the one that called in Caylee missing! What?! How on earth can the grandmother notice the child is missing before the mother?

Casey's mother, Cindy Anthony, called 911 to report her granddaughter missing. Frantically she said she said Casey's car smells like a dead body! Casey was gone for 31 days! This whole time "Caylee was with the nanny and Casey can't get ahold of her?"

I understand she's a babysitter, but I, personally, never have met a babysitter who agreed to watch a baby for over 30 days!

Moving on, Casey continued to act as if nothing was wrong continued to party it up as if she had no children, until she couldn't any longer. She called this moment "survival mode".

According to Wikipedia; Casey Anthony

According to what Cindy told the operators, Casey had given varied explanations as to Anthony's whereabouts before eventually saying she had not seen Anthony for weeks. Casey later called the police and falsely told a police dispatcher that Anthony had been kidnapped by a nanny on June 9.  Casey was charged with first-degree murder in October 2008 and pled not guilty.

On December 11, 2008, Anthony's skeletal remains were found with a blanket inside a laundry bag in a wooded area near the Anthony family's house. Investigative reports and trial testimony varied between duct tape being found near the front and mouth of the skull. The medical examiner listed Anthony's cause of death as "homicide by undetermined means".

Casey told investigators that she had left Anthony at the apartment of her nanny, Fernandez-Gonzalez, and that Fernandez-Gonzalez had kidnapped the toddler. But when police investigated the apartment, they found it had been abandoned for more than 140 days.

Casey also told police that she was working at Universal Studios. But when investigators took her to Universal Studios on July 16 and asked her to show them her office, Casey led detectives into the building before admitting that she no longer worked there; as it turned out, she had not worked there since her maternity leave almost three years earlier. Casey was subsequently arrested.

After admitting to not working at Universal Studios, Casey was arrested and charged with giving false statements to law enforcement, child neglect, and obstruction of a criminal investigation. The judge denied bail, saying Casey had shown "woeful disregard for the welfare of her child". On July 22, 2008, after a bond hearing, the judge set bail at $500,000. On August 21, 2008, after one month of incarceration, she was released from the Orange County jail after her $500,000 bond was posted by Tony Padilla, the nephew of California bail bondsman Leonard Padilla.

The trial was an absolute circus.

According to Court TV:

Casey’s lead defense attorney, Jose Baez, argued Caylee died from an accidental drowning in her grandparents’ swimming pool and her grandfather, George Anthony, disposed of the body. Baez also dropped a bombshell claim that Casey was sexually abused by her father and brother, Lee Anthony. He told the jury Casey lived in a constant state of denial due to her trauma, and that she was “raised to lie.” George Anthony and Lee Anthony strongly denied the accusations at trial.

THE INTERNET SEARCHES

Prosecutors entered evidence that someone searched for chloroform on the Anthony’s computer before Caylee’s death. They contended Casey used chloroform to essentially knock Caylee out, then suffocated her. But the defendant’s mother, Cindy, took the stand and testified that she was the one who searched “chloroform” on the family’s computer.

MEDICAL EXAMINER TESTIMONY

Dr. Jan Garavaglia, known as ‘Dr. G,’ is the celebrity medical examiner tasked with determining the manner of Caylee’s death. Dr. G testified Caylee was murdered, but could not determine the exact case of death.

VERDICT

On July 5, 2011, the jury finds Casey Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child. They did however find her guilty of four misdemeanor counts of lying to police. For those convictions, Casey was sentenced to four years in jail with credit for time served. She was released from jail on July 17, 2011.

Opinion-

Casey stated she wanted to go out. She was a 21 year old single mom. I believe she killed her daughter. Two year old Caylee was found in the woods with duct tape on her mouth with a heart sticker on it. her remains were found inside a garbage bag.

Manner of death was murder as a result of the autopsy. If the drowning story was true, they would have found evidence of drowning in the autopsy. But none was found.

What we know is Caylee was two years old. Her remains were found in a garbage bag with a heart sticker purposely put on her mouth.

She was murdered.

The evidence against Casey Anthony was damning. But the jury came back with Not Guilty.

Today, Casey anthony keeps coming out with documentaries, eating up the lime light. Her documentaries are full of information she never spoke of before. But many professionals believe she is still untruthful.

As of late last year, George, Casey's father spoke

According to Extra TV:

"George also shared his own theory about how Caylee died. He said, “My gut feeling inside, I believe Caylee was given something and she didn’t wake up.”

"When Cindy asked if George thought Casey did something intentionally, he responded, “I don’t think she intentionally wanted to, but she should be in jail because of Caylee not being here.”"
