“Helvetica!” He said in a sing-song voice. Here’s a friend for you. She was wearing duct tape on her mouth. He peeled it away.

“Goddamn it! You let me go, you son a bitch, you—”

“She’s not quite ready to communicate like a lady. You two can get acquainted. This is Impact. Meet Helvetica. You two get to know each other some more. Enjoy!”

He went to his laptop and explored more yellow, urban professional women YUPWees. The same action played out once again. He honed in on the women with their faces obscured, but their slender, athletic frames always showed through with each photo. He swiped the heart each time. He wrote down the information and waited for a response. Once one of the women replied he quickly took their phone number and applied it to a messaging service.

He then connected with Margaret Sue who was born Sia Cheng.

“How are you?”

“I’m okay.”

“Just okay? I want you to be well.”

“Okay I had a tough day at work.”

“You’re into cryptocurrency, no?”

“I’m a miner. How did you know?”

“I’m just good at these things.”

“Do you have BreadPay?”

“Yes.”

“Where do you live?”

“I live in New York.”

“What’s your Breadpay handle?”

“MargartSue2U.”

“I’m going to send you eighty thousand dollars to fly to Delaware in a personal jet.”

“Whoa, this is kind of fast. I don’t even know—” she heard a chime and saw a banner which indicated she had just been paid. The eighty-thousand dollars registered in her account. She became flushed and her yellow cheeks turned pink.

“Oh my God! You were serious.”

“I always am.”

Sia looked at her closet and picked out a dress. A LBD and a gold chain became her ensemble with a pair of stilettos to complete it. She changed immediately. Once the jet was gassed up and she was ready to board, a twinge of regret surged through her body. But she went forward anyway. Sia enjoyed champagne and caviar. She smiled and looked at the Wi-Fi powered tablet with the ritzy house she was about to visit. She scrolled through the pages which featured exotic vehicles and plush lawns and a spotless mansion. As she sipped, she smiled.

Her phone vibrated. A message from Skipson.

“I hope you are enjoying the amenities. I made sure that you would have the best creature comforts available.”

“Thanks, this is ecstacy. I’m really enjoying all of this. Thanks again.”

“What is your location right now?” He knew, he just wanted her to say it.

“We’re flying over New Jersey. I can't believe it only took forty-five minutes to get close to where you are. I love you. We’re soulmates.”

“We’re going to have so much fun. We’re going to love each other, you’re going to meet each other soon.”

Kim vaporized the marijuana. As potent as it was, she felt the need to remain comfy in her chair and not worry about anything. She scrolled through the various feeds on social media. She knew she was going to find something. She came across Skipson. The bio read content creator and maker of ideas.

His profile just showed his cars and jewelry, no face. Broadcast on the page were videos of motorcycles screaming through the streets. Just helmets. No faces appeared.

The way in which the young people traded information was not as conducive to a learning environment as her lecture halls. Grammar exited the doors, punctuation

flew away, and spelling went overboard as well. She used the vaporizer again. She drew in the smoke and it relaxed her body and she floated off the fumes.
