Police say he entered the bank on January 15th and handed a note to the teller demanding money. According to authorities, Teal left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was arrested later that day and is currently being held in Pinellas County Jail on charges of robbery and grand theft.

Teal has been known to law enforcement for some time. In 2013 , he was arrested on charges of armed robbery and sentenced to eight years in prison. He was released last year after completing his sentence.

Teal's attorney, John Howard, says his client is innocent and that the evidence against him is circumstantial. He believes Teal was wrongly accused and that he should be released pending trial.

The court has yet to decide whether to grant Teal bail. He is expected to appear in court on February 5th for a preliminary hearing.

Police have released surveillance footage from the incident, showing Teal entering the bank and leaving with cash. According to investigators, he was wearing a hooded jacket and hat during the robbery. Witnesses at the scene also reported seeing a man matching his description fleeing the area shortly after the robbery occurred.

In addition, authorities say that a similar note was used in an attempted robbery three days earlier in a nearby bank.

At this time, authorities are still investigating the case and believe that Teal may have been involved in other bank robberies. In addition to reviewing surveillance footage and witness accounts, detectives are looking into any possible connections between Teal and the other attempted robbery.
