The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent for it, it was a comb with teeth and hairs with eleven knots inside a thread and a thin layer of wax with needles stuck in it. According to Jibraeel (a.s.), the knot would come untied and the needle would come out when the Prophet (s.a.w.) recited the verses. By the end of the admonition, all the knots were untied and the needles came out, and the Holy Prophet became righteous as if a person were freed from a shackle...



The spiritual remedy prescribed by the religion of Islam for the breaking of magic is the reading of the Mu`awīzātīn. The last two surahs of the Holy Qur'an, Surat al-Nas and Surat al-Falaq, are collectively known as Mu'awztin. Although these last two chapters of the Holy Qur'an are rather separate and are written under different names in the Mushaf, they are so closely related and their subjects are so closely related to each other that they have a common name.
