7 Signs Someone likes You, But is Scared to Admit it

A lot of the times when someone likes you, they just don’t come to you and say “hey I really like you wanna hang out sometime?” that is not what happens, instead they try to give you hints, but most of the times you miss those hints because you were too afraid to admit your feelings or too shy to make a move or you think that you are just good friends.

And by the time you realize that it was a mutual interest, it is often too late.

It’s not so easy to understand if someone is into you and is sending hints your way. It’s basically impossible, unless any one of you expresses their feelings towards the other individual. However, there are a few signs that can help you to understand if someone likes you.

1. They make you feel like you are special to them.

When a person likes you, their behavior is different when they are with you, just a small conversation with you can bring a smile on their face, and they go out of their way just to create some interaction with you.

When someone likes you, chances are that their attraction towards you is visible through small details even if they are afraid of admitting it to you.

Do they often act in a way like they care for you more than they do for others? If so, it’s good to consider the chance that they have feelings for you.

2. They want you to meet the people who are important to them.

When a person likes you, they want you to be a part of their life.

Have they introduced you to their parents, friends or siblings? If so, by doing this they are trying to build a deeper and more valuable relation with you.

Of course, not everyone who does this means they have feelings for you. Introducing someone to family is very common among friends as well.

But if a person suddenly decides to introduce you to their loved ones, there is a good chance that they have feelings for you and are afraid to admit them.

3. They like to compliment you or tease you. Maybe even both.

Do they often compliment you?

Do they tease you in a friendly way without insulting you?

If a person is trying to make you laugh by making jokes about you, or they try to annoy you a little, they’re probably just trying to get your attention, and are waiting for you to get their hints.

4. Somehow, you see them a lot

Do you see them around you a lot of the times?

Do you often have encounters with them, coincidentally? Like bumping into each other at the supermarket or any other place.

This could also mean that they are trying to get your attention, just like when they compliment you or tease you, to make you notice them.

When a person has feelings for you, they think about you a lot, and they want you to think about them too. They just want to be a part of your life.

5. They insinuate jokes about you being together

Do they say something like “imagine we’re a couple”? or something like that>

If they do, they are most likely trying to see your reaction towards that possibility.

If the reaction is good, it will boost their confidence, if the reaction is bad it will sink their confidence and they will feel down, but also relieved that they didn’t confess their feelings to you.

When a person likes someone, they become anxious. Even though confessing their feelings will make them feel very good but the thought of getting rejected gives them the urge of protecting themselves from getting hurt.

6. They ask for assistance from others

Have you ever noticed that their friends are making it obvious that they have feelings for you?

When someone likes you, most of the time they are terrified to express their feelings, and because of that they may ask for help from others like friends or siblings to do it for them.

If you notice that they are trying to express their feelings by giving you hints, it might be the best time to discuss about it with them.

7. They do everything on the list, but do not confess

Have they done everything on the list, except confessing their feelings to you? Then they might be waiting for you to make a move and bring it up first.

Sometimes you can mistake someone being friendly with you for something more, but I suggest you should not ignore your intuition and atleast have a chat with them about how you feel and ask them if they feel the same.

It’s okay If they don’t feel the same, But if they do you would be helping both them and yourself by confessing.
