Stitch: The Lore of Sara Foxgrave
The absolute shock of the kiss broke the second Bane pulled his lips back a fraction of an inch, his heavy breaths fanning hot across her skin. For a split second, the electric buzz paralyzing Sara’s nervous system cleared, leaving behind a pure, panicked surge of adrenaline. Her brain was still screaming that he was a ghost, a hallucination, a threat to her sanity—and her body did exactly what her military training had drilled into her bones.

Stitch: The Lore of Sara Foxgrave
The gray autumn chill settled deep into the Foxgrave woods, turning the leaves to brittle rust and giving Sara a perfect excuse to stay out of the lake water. Who Will Find Them
Jake awoke from a restless night’s sleep. With all the activity over the last two days, getting any sleep at all was a surprise. He had gone from an ordinary bus driver to making the national news, and now he was contemplating working undercover for a private investigation firm. It was a lot to consider. Would this investigator job be a permanent position, or a one and done? If that were the case, would his driving job still be waiting for him? So many questions, so few answers. Then there was the questions Bill asked him toward the end of their meeting, “Do you own a gun, and do you have a conceal carry permit?” Jake carried a gun in the Air Force but never felt the need to carry one as a civilian. His phone buzzed and the caller ID showed him it was Bill. Jake picked up on the second ring.

Who find Them
Chapter 6 Bethany sat on a hard folding metal chair. She scanned the bare, drab grey, windowless walls, searching for anything that might offer her comfort but found nothing except for an old round analog wall clock clicking away the minutes. Three banks of fluorescent lights ran across the ceiling. Their constant flickering and buzzing made Beth want to throw something at them, but even if she had something to toss, which she didn’t, she knew better than to do it. The only other furniture in this chamber was a metal desk devoid of anything, with an old-style desk phone, a pad of 8 x 11 lined paper sitting on top of a manilla file folder, and a ballpoint pen. The desk chair looked slightly more comfortable than the one she was sitting on, but not by much.
